Kyrgios shouldn't be losing at this stage of their's careers to Coric, he will have issues when they get older but Nick should have too many weapons right now, especially on a hardcourt. Poor loss.

Gave no chance of Tomic beating Goffin, nice win , must be somewhat motivated this week.

Stosur's tie break in the first set was just lol.

Yep bad loss considering where those players are in their development.

Nick loses the 1st set TB 7-2 on a double-fault and upon sitting down he kicks his bag and then smashes 3 of his racquets.

Raonic should be winning this if he wants to have any hope of beating the top guys in big events in the future, Murray is running on fumes after the Olympics as you've seen with everyone who went deep in Rio already knocked out and he is only still in cause no one has taken a chance to knock him playing at 60% out, Tomic was well in the match did his usual 2 sloppy service games out of nowhere and the match was suddenly done.

If Raonic can't beat this version of Murray i don't know how expects to beat Djokovic or Murray at a slam when they're 100%.

Murray's had a great run but inevitably a taxing schedule meant he would run out of puff.

Maybe. If not for the Olympics and making the Cinci Masters final, I would still probably favour Murray to take the US Open seeing he has Lendl in his corner. You could argue that Murray took out the Olympics/US Open Double in 2012 (with Lendl in his corner) but his records say he only played 3 matches in between. He was a 3rd Rnd loser in Toronto due to a walkover and again a 3rd Rnd loser in Cincinatti so he wasn't exactly running on empty there.

Hard to know what to make of Djokovic at this stage. He looks .... human. At least he'll be well rested.

Staying on the Croatian Theme (wrt Cilic) we should mention that Dodig (Cro)/Melo (Bra) won the doubles over Rojer (Ned)/Tecau (Rou) thus completing the Canadian Open/Cincinatti Masters Double. This is their 6th doubles title together, their 4th @ Masters 1000 Level.

For me, Murray is favorite to win the US Open and i am assuming he will take a week off before the tournament begins.

Unsure about Novak at the moment with 2 early losses at Wimbledon and Olympics , the time off might help him prepare for the US Open.
