One of the sadder state of affairs is the Yarra Valley Bushrangers. Seriously dismal season and after their loss to 2nd last Bulleen Temp, who to be fair are actually going ok despite their win-loss ratio, it is pretty safe to bet the house on them getting relegated. What are the big issues? Clearly losing some pretty solid older blokes and a few to coin but it has been a dramatic drop, even from their mid table finish last year.

Exams finished - time to post properly.

Kew proved that they are rightfully faves for the flag and even though I agree Ormond are not fielding better than 2/3rds full strength, I think OGs or SMS could upset the near inevitability of a Kew-Ormond GF. Will get to see Old Geelong again this Saturday and whilst we hope to avenge the disappointment of last years last kick of the day loss, I fear the line-ups and form/coaching strategies of the clubs are poles apart this season. We could be in for a long day at Como, but here's hoping not!

As for the rest, well theoretically NOBSPC aren't yet in the boring zone of no finals and no relegation but I reckon another three matches will see them there. Having said that, their form against OMs must be worrying. Prahran could keep pushing up and I expect them to join NOBs in safety sooner rather than later.

This leaves us, OMs and BT trying to avoid 9th. If BT get the win this week over OMs at Ted Ajani that could really see things spice up!

We might send our best to the Panthers as we really need to keep BT at bay.

Ormond will be favourites again when big Mal gets on the park.

Has he? I missed that
Think he's said none of your business twice now.:)

Kew is rightfully the favs. Of the others if the Monders can regain a few (3 won't be back this year I think) they will cope with the mummy's boys.;) A little more concerned about the OGGS but still think the Monders would be favs there too.

Don't be surprised if Prahran give Kew a bit of a workout at Toorak Park under their new coach.

I wasn't saying it to gatorboy, he's ok. It was that other smartarse who has 8 posts
Yeah I know. My response was to gatorboy's comment that he'd missed your understated way of saying 'get stuffed' to the 'Spectator'.:)

I know this is a big prediction but I think the Monds will be far too good for Kew this week and a 9 goal margin is my tip. I hear 3 big names up for selection this week....

I know this poster disappeared back to his own forum with the dummy well and truly having been spat out but expect that he would still check in from time to time to see if he can land a blow.

So what a huge surprise that despite trying to imply to all and sundry that he was "in the know" at Ormond and having his so called "mail" corrected by Bedford (the one person who would actually know) his grand prediction that he repeated multiple times over never eventuated.

This may be of little interest to most...but for the handful it is, refer below for the W/L record for North Old Boys/St Pat's in our first 1000 games against sides we've played at least 12 times.....the worst one is we've never beaten Old Ivanhoe in 12 tries.....

Went fishing Rooter and landed quite a number of turkeys including you... enjoy the hook.

Wow 1,000 games, that's 50 years of history, how is that relevant? Very few players from those early years are likely to be still playing

You know you will get the "wind up" on Mal until he hits the track Bedders, it's just the way it has to be :D

Would you also like to know when Jack Frost and Maxie Gawn are likely to run out in the brown and blue again too?:)

In NOBS case it is relevant as they usually do have a couple of veterans running around with 300 games under their belt
