Picking Macreadie is the same as picking Weitering again, except as a forward this time![]()

One thing I do like about SOS's picks this year is that they all have pace, even Macreadie.
SPS sounds rapted to be coming to Carlton, says he wants to model he's game on Cyril and Jack Martin
We are going to love watching this kid play footy.
Would love to know the convo that took place between SOS and Bolts looks like some real haggling going on!!!
Average score in 2019 will be 5.6-30 to 3.3-21
19. Zac Fisher (WA)
Best position: Inside midfield/outside midfield
Height, weight: 175cm, 61kg
Recruited from: Perth
Plays like: Lachie Neale
Projected draft range: second to third round
Rated last month: 19
Rationale behind ranking/change of ranking: Numbers and quality of performances during the AFL Under-18 Championships and at WAFL League very advanced.
Strengths:
- Production
- Stoppage work
- Wins first possession at stoppages
- Contested-ball winning
- Tackling
- Clean hands
- Precise footskills
- Vision
- Decision-making
- Acceleration and burst away from stoppages
- Agility
- Evasiveness
-Performances vs. WAFL League competition
Weaknesses:
- Size by position
- Unclear versatility
Maybe Marchbank forward.
Either way, we have some serious flexibility with our young talls.wouldn't move Plowman from the back 50.
I reckon we'll love Zac - has cult favourite written all over him. Great zip and energy around the packs. Small, but if they're good enough, as they say... they're good enough. Happy with this.
Nah, just pro-good players available at the timeAre we anti-Vic this draft?

LolBolts asking why we need 4 full backs?
You were bagging his pace it is actually in the top 25% which is reasonable. His endurance isn't great. We know you don't like him as a pick but at least be balanced. That's a big repeat gap (McGrath was 2nd at the combine). McGrath is much closer to the Gallucci/Ainsworth end of the table despite that poor 20m time.
Not a good draft for repeat sprints though, here's this year's and last year's:
2016
Jordan Gallucci (24.36 seconds)
Andrew McGrath (24.44)
Bailey Morrish (24.83)
Jarrod Berry (24.99)
Ben Ainsworth (25.01)
Kym LeBois (25.08)
Griffin Logue (25.09)
Shai Bolton (25.10)
Myles Poholke (25.20)
Jacob Allison (25.30)
2015
Daniel Rioli - 24.15 seconds
Mabior Chol - 24.30
Oleg Markov - 24.32
Thomas Glen - 24.46
David Cuningham - 24.51
Jordan Snadden - 24.54
Wayne Milera - 24.61
Will Snelling - 24.64
Liam Jeffs - 24.74
Luke Partington - 24.76
So only two make it into last year's top 10, whereas Fisher is in the next 5 this year. Buyer beware here.
Running out of picks maybe? I was listening and not watching the TV at the time, so not sure what they had to give up to match.I'm curious, why didn't GWS match our bid on Macreadie?
