Cumming to crows i think ladies.
Hopefully it shakes Hayward loose and he finds himself wearing RWB.

I think it's becoming glaringly apparent that if Marshall isn't available at pick 18, we'll be selecting Luke Ryan there. Ryan won't be available at 26-28.

If your ever going to pick a Ruckman in the first round, its off a premiership year, there will never be as little pressure on picks as now. And taking the best ruck which is a need anyway is fine by me. Surely the odds of him becoming an average ruck are pretty good which should at least make him worthy of a list spot in the future.

one less thing for jmac to worry about over the next few trade periods

Our needs are hard to assess i did a phantom and made the first
two picks a straight tribute or tip of the hat to Matthew Boyd
and Dale Morris the poll shows how difficult it is. Friday 7 pm
cannot come quick enough.

Had a look at Tim English highlights with everyone saying we'll take him. I like the look of him. He has my tick of approval.

Dogs will take Cedric Cox 1st Rd.. Rotham 2nd Rd

Shit.

By the way, what makes you say this?

(Double shit. Looks like we're interested in Hanrahan. Highlights did not impress me at all. Don't think he's worth a national selection, let alone one at 50 or 26.)

So we're thinking 2 of:

Marshall
English
Cox
Ryan
I don't mind it, the second pick is likely going to have the immediate impact to

Sorry I didn't get that last post was a joke, it'd been a long day & I read it all wrong

I am still hoping a good player slides on the night so we at least have a tougher decision to make

Fair chance port pick marshall with one of their picks and depends on what GC do for English to slip to us.

Ryan to the swans at 19 maybe ?

saints and Cats both seem into cox, before our 2nd pick

I'm not sure you fully understand the type of player English is. He's a mobile, 205cm quasi-ruckman with elite kicking skills. For what it's worth, many recruiters don't believe he has true ruck capabilities, rather, see him as a future 205cm intercept-marking defender - what I want him to be. He's not my most favoured pick at 18 but he has a shitload of talent and if Dal thinks he's got what it takes then I'd fully trust us to pick him up. He's also likely to keep growing - getting into 206-207cm would greatly assist him in his ruckwork, having that extra height advantage.

He reckons that he puts on weight easily when his "diet and gym are in check", so that looks optimistic towards him not being an Ayce Cordy type. Also is very well-spoken, seems quiet, focused.

If he's being looked at as a tall intercept marking defender - and we believe he will be very good at it - then that is fine by me. The versatility to be able to ruck as well is an added bonus. Clearly we want players who can play many positions, and if we are chasing him, he will also possess those character qualities I mentioned earlier.
