Geelong coaches keep yelling about Jack so thats something

Number 18 for ballarat having a good game in defense

WEST Australian midfielder Zac Fisher's draft stocks have continued to soar after another standout performance in his state's 17-point win over the Allies at Domain Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Fisher racked up 24 disposals to three quarter-time, winning the hard ball at the contest and then showing an ability to break out of traffic to finish his work on a raking left boot.

The Perth product, standing at 175cm, finished with 30 disposals, six tackles and a goal as Western Australia held off a late charge from the Allies to win 10.9 (69) to 7.10 (52).

Playing his first game of the Championships, the highly touted Sam Petrevski-Seton had 19 disposals. The WA youngster has struggled with a hamstring injury this year but is one of a number of players in contention to be the No.1 draft pick at the end of the season.

Petrevski-Seton's breakaway ability came to the fore the longer the match went on and he also won 11 contested possessions to round out his game.

Western Australia got the jump on the Allies early in the game, taking a 25-point lead into half-time on the back of their midfield dominance.

Matt Guelfi, who is averaging 26 disposals and seven tackles per game at Colts level this season, excelled in the clinches with 18 disposals and five clearances.

Shai Bolton (16 disposals and six inside 50s) and Josh Rotham (15) were also among WA's best.

After a disappointing first-up effort in their first game of the carnival against South Australia a fortnight ago, the Allies fell behind early in the game and, despite a stronger showing, could not peg WA's lead back.

Midfielder Koby Mutch (18 disposals) and Brad Scheer (17) were the major ball winners for the Allies, while Harry Perryman (12 touches) battled hard all day.

Allies forward Todd Marshall displayed why so many clubs are interested in securing his services with two goals in attack from limited opportunities.

The AFL ruled in May that Greater Western Sydney would not have priority access to draft the academy prospect after the tall forward was excluded due to a registration issue.

That will not temper AFL clubs' interest in the Deniliquin prospect, who burst on the scene this year after pursuing cricket as a junior, given his marking ability and clear potential.

Giants academy member Zac Sproule was inaccurate in front of goal (1.3) but created plenty of chances as a half-forward.
