I really liked what i saw from him also, very smooth. That goal when he swooped on the loose ball, was all class.

I learned a couple of things

1. If we go small.

Get Taranto.

2. It is incredibly even this draft. Struggling with my top 30 because I could fit about 30 odd players between 15 and 30 without too many arguments...

3. McGrath is top 10 on talent

I get the feeling McGrath will be gone well before our pick and if Taranto keeps this up he will be too. You just about need a non-Academy player power rank as well as one with them included to see what sort of range we will be drafting in.

Dal will trade to get whatever he wants out of this draft and our list depth may even squeeze out some players with value this season. Also we don't even know who the Dalrymple special is this year, no doubt there are players out there not playing champs who he has a hard on for a late pick

Not sure. Just went off in the second after a contest and didn't come back on. Was playing well pressuring in the forward line and almost pulled a goal out from nowhere before that. Wanted to see more of him

Florent was one of Metro's best players early, all class then got caught in a bit of a tangle in a marking contest and went off and didn't come back

Hope they are all just precautionary.

Galluci impressed me, he disappeared for a quarter but otherwise made things happen for Metro and kicked an important set shot in the 4th. Love that he uses both feet. Sharked a centre bounce hitout at one stage and strolled through for the clearence. Can play for sure, needs that consistency.

Unlucky - Sproule, Drew, Junker, Rolls, Goddard, Witherden, Slimming, LeBois, Scrimshaw, Parfitt etc.

Would just about swap Scrimshaw in for Berry, Scrimshaw was very impressive yesterday. 7 tackles and half of his touches were contested plus only one mark so he wasn't being a seagull back flanker. On top of that went at 80% efficiency. I also have Setterfield much higher up. Agree with most yet again and I like the depth of the top prospects this year.

Worpel as a bottom ager had a massive game, 9 clearences, 7 tackles, 13 of his 16 touches contested and still went at 81% efficiency and he won 4 free kicks.

Surprised to see Berry, Korewha, Atley, English and Venables (was very, very quiet until the last 5 mins on Monday) as high as they are. Cannot believe Dylan Clarke doesn't get a mention - not the pick the Dogs need but his form all year has been just terrific and his Metro game was outstanding, for mine. I also think McGrath is easily top 10 worthy, even though I hope he can slide, and his last quarter for Metro just reaffirmed that. Absolutely huge talent, regardless of his size, and I struggle to think of a weak side to his game (maybe contested ball-winning?). Him and Mutch are my early favourites this year. I'm worried about Ainsworth's mental game, too. Was phenomenal in the third qtr for Country but almost non-existent in the first half, and a four-game suspension is a bit concerning for a draftable player.
