Pick 59 - Brodie Romensky (189cm,88kg) (6/7/98) (Defender/Inside Mid)
Romensky is one that I was hoping would fall around my pick here after taking a risk with some of the better talls from this year earlier. Romensky is a very consistent player whether he is playing in defence or in the midfield he just does his thing. He is a very capable contested ball winner and is very good at applying pressure whether it being tackles, smothers or chases, he is also capable overhead and has a large vertical jump allowing for him to third man up at ruck contests when he is in the midfield, his disposal is okay not something that special but it gets the job done.
The reason behind this pick was that I was looking for a player who could play a similar role to what Matthew Boyd plays for us across half back in the future and Romensky fits in with this very well so I was happy for him to be picked at this selection.
Pick 66 - Tyson Stengle (171cm, 69kg) (19/10/98) (Small Forward/Midfielder)
Stengle was one player from SA that really impressed me during the champs with his work on the half forward line. He is quick and elusive, capable of slipping through tackles and has very good decision making, intelligence and skills making him capable of effecting games in a big way with only a few touches though he is very capable of finding plenty of the footy. Despite his size he also has shown he isn't afraid to attack the ball in the air which is a good sign and also has shown he can apply very effective forward pressure.
The reasoning behind this pick is quite simple. The dogs don't really have many smaller players who play very effectively as forwards and have a need for more players on the forward line who can set up scores and kick goals themselves. I was also thinking about Victorian Sam Fowler at this point but decided to go with Stengle due to his ability to dispose of the football.
Pick 70 - Jordan Ridley (192cm, 79kg) (20/10/98) (3rd Tall/Wingman)
Ridley I just couldn't pass up at this point having already filled needs with the previous picks. He is a tall who is capable of playing both as a third tall forward or as a defender and given his very good athletic ability (especially his speed) I expect that the side that takes him in the draft to develop his midfield game given his size makes for a very difficult match up. Ridley also has close to elite disposal by foot and is very strong overhead capable of taking big marks.
Well I just couldn't pass up on this one at this stage. He is one that I have going in the 30's and could easily go higher given what he can bring to a side given his versatility to be able to play many different positions so getting him at 70 in this is crazy. Underrated on BF.
Pick 84 - Benjamin Ronke (181cm, 75kg) (18/12/97) (Onballer/Forward)
Well this is my pick for a player to develop. Ronke is an overager who played his footy for St Bernards in the VAFA last year before getting picked up as and overage player for the Cannons this year where he has excelled. Ronke is very, very quick running a 20 meter sprint in just under 2.83 making him one of, if not the fastest player who is draft eligible this year. He also is has a very good vertical jump making him more than capable overhead and has the ability to impact the scoreboard either as a goal kicking midfielder or as a small forward. He has to work on his disposal by foot which can bad at times but he has a lot of scope. Plays in a somewhat similiar style to Patrick Dangerfield.
The reason behind this pick is finding a midfielder with some speed to develop as the dogs lack in midfield speed even though our half backs are all quite quick. Ronke's ability to play well as a forward also adds to this given the Dogs inability to post winning scores at times

Like the sound of Jordan Ridley.![]()
How's Kayle Kirby going lately? He seems like he has some attributes that would compliment our list.
Keep a close eye on Ronke especially if we do lose Jong.Good work Wizard, I have a feeling we'll only be taking 3 late picks in the live draft this year so interested in the later pick bargains.
Bolton is one played I'd love to get in the second round, I expect the rest could go quite a bit later. Unlucky if they're all gone with our later picksPlenty of small forwards in this draft....
Ben Ainsworth
Sam Fowler
Daniel Allsop
Jermaine Jones
Kayle Kirby
Kym Lebois
Tyson Stengle
Ben Jarman
Shai Bolton
How are Marshall, Battle and Kerr going?

David DankThere are a few players with really good speed that will be around late.
Stephen Dank?

How are Marshall, Battle and Kerr going?
Going okay but are being out played by the mids.
Mitch Lewis is playing really well lately.
Larkey also is going alright.
Thanks
So what draft pick range might they go in?
If we get Hurley, would it be worth trading next years first rounder instead of this years so we could potentially get him?Still hoping Venables slips through to us (If we keep our first). He would be absolutely perfect.
