Red bull definitely gave Ricciardo that one by double stacking both cars under VSC. They initially gave Verstappen the better strategy after the first VSC but evened it out after that
Don't get confused with what you see on TV.
SVG is a tubby district cricketer, who sometimes goes over to England to play in lower grade cricket for the small clubs.

Although I wonder what the risk would have been to keep Verstappen out there and only pit Ricciardo at the final VSC
The risk is Ricciardo goes to pass Max with new tyres, Max defends dirtily and they crash into each other and throw away a 1-2. No brainier for the team really.
