Well, Kirky should know a thing or two about the opposiiton.....we need to handle the start, if we can kick the first 2 or 3 it may just drain the emotion out of the game. Hopefully we bounce back and score the win, dont care by how much, if we get 2nd or 3rd and GWS get 2nd or 3rd, we get a home final.

In McVeigh, Out Foote agree with most on here, would say Marsh instead of McVeigh if Marsh was fit, assuming McVeigh was out injured, he may need another week.

Scary stat. I think the coaches are onto it though because they are trying multiple things up forward. None of them have really worked as of yet.

Not ideal not scoring high, but not the end of the world...

For what stat's are worth we didn't score over 100 points in the 2012 final series (71, 96 and 91).

And of course conditions impact scores (eg playing under a roof every week makes it easier to score over 100)

I just hope we kick bigger scores than the opposition each week.

The only thing that really concerns me is our skills. If we can't hit targets around the ground and/or under pressure, we will be beaten more often than not.

Our inability to score over 100 isn't that bad, given we have the best defence in the comp and most finals are lower-scoring anyway.

Our pressure and defensive game is always reliable. Even against Carlton when we were slack in the first half, we lifted our pressure more in the second half.

Our forward line is completely dysfunctional but eh we have enough players capable of scoring goals. As long as their individual form is good, a forward structure becomes less important.

Our ruck is OK either way. We're either competitive in the middle (with Naismith) or dominant in the middle (with Tippett). Can't complain about either scenario.

Our depth is good. Marsh, Teddy, Laidler and Jones waiting in the wings as defenders. Rose, McGlynn and XR all viable forward options. And Tippett and Nankervis as rucks.

Let's be real, we're in a slump. We were great against Geelong but nowhere near as good as we could be. Disappointing games against Carlton, Hawthorn, Bulldogs and GWS plus only two good quarters against Melbourne. The first ten games we were completely ferocious and put in four quarter efforts with most of our players in form. Let's hope Horse rights the ship and we get out of the slump to return to the level from the first few months.

Think harry should go back to the 2s and hewett needs a run in there to
Agreed! Both underwhelming at this stage....
Havung said that I think our problems and in particular scoring problems comes from our break down at half back.
We fumble around with it and teams have time to get back and clog our forward line. Dobt underestimate Jones and his positive impact on quick ball movement. We just need guys who can hit targets from the backline...Newman upgrade? They don't have to be fleet footed jus skilled.

Run with the ball though, not run away scared

He definitely needs to back himself and do more of this...Towers as well. It's frustrating seeing guys with such good pace never try and use it in an attacking sense...they need to take a leaf out of Rohan's book or watch some footage of Jetta in 2012.

Even if rohan gets tackled at least he is trying to use his pace and break it open

Harry just chips side to side and gets the ball and looks to handball etc

Never see him try and break a tackle etc

He throws it away before a tackle

Looking forward to swansfan51 getting to see Xavier Richards live again.

The underrated little battler must be the main contender for the heir to his favourite player throne with Pyke retired, Laidler injured/dropped, Tom Mitchell about to leave the club and Pat Mitchell back home in Nebraska or Wyoming or one of the other pointless American states.

Towers is an easy target, Hanners needs to actually hit a bloody target, his turnovers are constant and costly. Experienced players should do better than 20 gamers. Best hope JPK doesn't go down, he carries the midfield
