Being used as an inside mid or wing/HBF type?
Wing which is his preferred position so he's said. I must admit I thought he was going to be just back-up depth for us but he is a quality player, walks into our 22 when fit. Has the ability to find the ball and uses it well, unlike a lot of our team.

Dunno if this is the right thread, but how is Matt Rosa going for you lot? Am rather disappointed he's gone considering how Jetta has turned out.
Rapt with him really, please do not ask for him back as I fear he may contemplate the offer :p

I think some of you may of forgotten how Swallow butchers the ball too. How many times has he been running into an open goal and shanked it

At least 4 to 1 against minimum.

Dangerfield use to shank all the time...until the mids mature and start hitting the age Swallow is now do they get a bit more composure. Particularly those explosive midfielders like Dangerfield. He became #1 mid at Adelaide about 3 years ago after Thompson started to age as well as Goodwin/Edwards retired...but he needed to mature to slow that half yard after bursting a pack.

Morning all. Few musings going around about whether you guys would be interested in a trade centering around our first round pick for your two first round picks (an possibly other picks moving around). On the surface what will probably look like pick 2 for pick 4 and 8 seems to be massively out of kilter but if it gave you access to another talent pre having to match Bowes there could be benefit. Currently I don't imagine you get away with keeping pick 4 at present so I guess it either looks like

current - Bowes, pick 8, Scheer (assuming scheer doesn't get a pick this early which I consider unlikely)

possible - pick 2, bowes, Scheer (plus the power to bid early on a GWS player to lover Bowes points price)

Would be keen to hear another perspective on this.

Have heard a few versions of this and I think there is some interest (certainly for pick 1) but pick 2 almost dares Essendon to bid on Bowes as they have nothing to lose and the top 3-5 players are all about the same. Basically many ways to skin a cat but pick 2 doesn't guarantee us anything so doubt it will be considered.

Personally I would like us to trade our first pick and a player (maybe Matrea ) for a gun player and maybe a late 3rd rounder for the points and would be open to this for the 2nd first rounder we have as well.

Alternatively package both first rounders for an absolute gun (i'm talking top draw) and then just use our late picks to make up the points for Sheer and Bowe.

Pick 4 and 8 is a massive massive price for anyone, I can understand doing it for pick one because it has the side effect of helping us with our academy players but just on a single player.... He would have to be a Superstar... Any ideas who we might target Iva?

Yeah you'd want to be damn sure they wouldn't use it for him. I'm unsure whether i'd want to do it if the roles were reversed either. I can see the merit but it goes a bit against ingrained draft history really. Having said that I tend to think that we're unlikely to see he number 1 pick being used on an academy player for a while TBH. Theres a narrative that you're trying to sell to your supporter base when you're the last team in the comp and its all around how good is this kid we got with number 1, he's the best young player in the land. Its not hey we got this guy with number 1 who was second best. I think that unless there's an academy player who's so far ahead of the others then its less likely to happen.

Brett delidio? What would he be worth to you? Or package up Brandon Ellis and Brett delidio

He is a great player but at 29 I wouldn't want to take him on, should be a one club player and remembered as a Tigs champion

Isaac Heeny, Jesse Hogan type player

Delidio would be more benefit to a team with its premiership window open. He'd also be better off staying one more year then become an unrestricted free agent at the end of 2017.

It would be something like our 2 first round picks which at the moment would be 4 and 8, perhaps throw something else to sweeten the deal, hard to tell until we get to the end of the season and see where everything stands.
Where do I sign?

Though I'd rather do 8 + player

Was wondering if we could possibly have a crack at Lachie Keeffe when he's back. He's a 204cm key defender who's very athletic, 26 years old Queenslander and 40 games under his belt. Would go for him over Hansen but I believe we'd have to draft him.
