The moment has arrived - on behalf of your esteemed and much adored Bay 13 moderating team, we welcome all and sundry to the 2017 Bay 13 Flog of the Year voting thread.
After a robust and at times suitably melty nomination process 12 of the most viable candidates have separated themselves from the pack, reminding all and sundry of their undoubted floggery bona fides.
As is the norm, a brief summary of each candidate is as follows:
indygo - without fail, every year a low lying flog throws his hat into the ring with a petulant display during the FOTY nomination process. Was it enough for this chronic melter to feature on the podium for 2017?
sportsmaniac89 - it wouldn't be FOTY without a valid B2B voting option, would it?
go you pups - a dark horse for the 2017 title, pups sneaks into the voting list with a low key yet sustained run of floggery. Consistency has been the key for this bloke.
El Dubya - despite a late re-entrance into the Bay arena this year this bloke has well and truly reminded us all of his credentials with a late flurry of floggery. With recency bias a real factor among his Bay brethren, he must be some chance of a podium finish.
boydshow - it never ceases to amaze how boydogs always manages to find himself in the thick of the voting come FOTY time. A real phenomenon, I tells ya.
TazHawk15 - after slipping the noose in 2016 it would be a brave man to suggest he's not a real chance to add to his growing FOTY collection. A bookies favourite.
subaru - this chronic button masher again finds herself amongst the favourites. Drawing considerable interest from non puffer posters during the nomination process, could this be the year she goes all the way?
RedVest4 - Some might say the AWOTY is a more apt title to be bestowed upon this undoubted floggosaurus. Tacogirl.gif?
Crobro - a DH that really, honestly, needs no further introduction.
Geelong Dynasty - a veteran flog, this guy has more than proven his bona fides over the course of the year. Voters proceed with caution - a melty PM will likely follow.
db swannie - every year it seems the bottom feeders of the forum join forces to nominate one of the better posters in what is clearly and act of butthurtery. This is not one of those occasions.
bombersfan4000 - it truly is one of life's great mysteries - the fact that this massive turnip has never saluted at the business end of the FOTY season. Will this be the year?
As per previous years, each punter has 3 votes to allocate at their discretion. Elias votes will not be counted.
As has become BigFooty lore, the winner will receive a shiny, prestigious FOTY badge and a 2 week holiday from all things Bay 13. The poll will close 1 week from today, by which time a new bastion of internet floggery will be crowned for our amusement.
