I still don't get it

I don't get how it's a tribute to a suburb or significant in terms of an * clash guersney, but I also don't really care. I love the traditional top, but also like to see the different ones that come out for indigenous rounds, heritage, clash tops and the like. I'm just appreciating it for what it is, which to me is a visual masterpiece. Just wish I could justify getting one at the moment.

I get that, but I just don't understand why they're calling it a tribute. If it's a tribute, surely it has a reason. I like reasons.

So basically it's the bluestone around Lygon St, Rathdowne St, Drummond St, the old Curtin St quarry, Elgin St, Faraday St & Nicholson St.

A tribute to the suburb of Carlton, and in conjunction with long-standing apparel partner Nike, the new-look guernsey takes inspiration from the traditional bluestone appearance commonly discovered in heritage streets throughout the suburb.

With the bluestone look sublimated in the guernsey, the Blueout will see a navy monogram on the navy guernsey for the first time in the Club’s 153-year history. In a further change, the playing numbers on the back of the guernseys are keylined and the word ‘CARLTON’ is proudly displayed on the back of the jumper, replacing the crest which used to sit above the number.

Truly stunning, I like it very much. It has a bit of dark & imposing side to it. Maybe a bit of a Darth Vader about it. We are the "OLD DARK NAVY BLUES" after all. The less white the better I think.

We already have the best jumper in the comp but this design (more of a shade change than design) is what our jumper "maybe" should have always been. This jumper could be seen not as much as going away from our tradition, but rather, a completion of our evolution.

I know it's a one off and we need to see it live. But something about it struck a chord.

I think it looks ok as well, but likely from a distance the CFC logo would be harder to see of course................good for a change perhaps.

I had that problem at Subi when I went to get an away jumper from the club vendor there.
