IF we do get pick 20 as part of a trade for Stringer, everyone who is OOC goes and the rumors of Roarke's upgrade are true (leaves us with 4 live picks in the ND and 2 in the RD) then who would you guys pick?

9 -
20 -
26 -
39 -

R1 -
R2 -
9- Nick Coffield
20 - Gryan Miers
26 - Outside mid with speed
39 - Lloyd Meek

I know I'm being facetious but my point is it just depends on who is still available. I could say for example Oscar Allen at pick 20, but that's being pretty unrealistic (although not as much as the above obviously).

Personally I would rather Cerra over Dow
But that is just me :p

I see it being something like

9 - Andrew Brayshaw (ready for AFL, faster than most of our mids, got good skills)

20 - Gryan Miers (going in before GWS' picks, goal kicking forward and sets up a lot of scoring shots. He is something we need.)

26 - Zac Bailey (quick, tough and can hit the scoreboard. This guy could surprise and play games next year as a small forward before moving into the midfield in the next few. High ceiling)

39 - Ben Paton (Very, Very quick, tall and has a big vertical jump allowing him to play a bit taller. To go with this his skills are also very good and he could allow us to release JJ forward)

R1 - Kai Owens (Very tall wingman who has a big enough leap and strong enough hands to almost play key position. Has only had one year in an elite system so growth to come. Comes from a BBall background, half Japanese)

R2 - Tristan Xerri (Key Forward/Ruckman that has a lot of scope. Has put together a couple of games late in the year these being the last round of the TAC Cup (kicked 2.2 from 25d and 21 hit outs) and the Young Guns Game. Risk reward type.)

The dream for me is

Brander
Richards
Miers
Bailey :p

Coffield
Allen
Miers
Bailey otherwise

Bailey won't go as low as 39.

Miers I doubt will get past GWS.

Coffield/Brander/Brayshaw
Richards/Allen/O'Brien
Garner/Ling/Bailey

That's a better attempt, Garner may or may not get this far, I think a lot depends where the talls end up going.

It's just a bit of fun at the end of the day. I enjoyed doing it at least. The way I did it was, the player at each pick had to be at least say a 20% chance of being available at that pick in my opinion. So that automatically ruled out Dow, Rayner, LDU, Cerra. Yeah it's still unrealistic, I get what your saying. But I think it's pretty cool to look at the possibilities and see what other people end up with as well.

I mean you mention Oscar Allen as an unrealistic option at pick 20, where as I don't. I have a few question marks at his height, so I think there's a very good chance he's available at pick 20. It's interesting to see the difference in opinion.

Zac Bailey is one that I missed and I do like him. Agree that he would suit us.

I think Matt Day is a bit of a Dalrymple type as well and will come under consideration at 39.

Out of curiosity, where do you have Bonar going?
About 18-35ish hard to know because he is an unknown having played so little games.

Yeah Matt Day is another I had around that mark. Think we will like Paton for his speed, kicking and athleticism.

Zac Bailey I think we will really like. Has a lot going for him.

Not many SA Bball background players this year. Heaps in the TAC Cup (Day, Walker, Owens, Amartey etc.).

Bailey plays footy in SA (even though he is from the NT) so he should count.

Will Walker? I'm pretty sure he's from a soccer background
