With 19 weeks until the start of the 2020 AFL season, it is time to get our 'group' on and collectively predict how next season is going to unfold. You can be clinical, you can be one-eyed, you can use last season as a predictor, or you can try to gauge which teams slide and which teams improve now that trades are done and dusted. Any way is okay. Just be in it, because science dictates that more pollsters results in a higher prediction accuracy. Which science you say? Shut up and vote. Voting for each round to last 5 days. I will input the results to a Ladder Predictor and post an updated ladder at the end of every round.
So without further ado. Here are the match-ups for Round 1:
Richmond begin their title defence with the mandatory (yawn) smashing of the hapless Blues, who will go on to realize they may still be shyte despite Jack Newnes picking up 17 disposals. The Doggies vs the Pies shapes up as a cracker, but probably gets pipped for match of the round by the Giants v Cats game. Adelaide will be feeling the pressure of starting the season well and Melbourne and Port Adelaide will most likely have to play in the heat vs their respective opponents Gold Coast and West Coast. Grant Birchall will be priming for a Brisbane debut against his old club, Hawthorn. The GOAT also makes his Fremantle debut, filling the void left by Sandilands against Essendon. North vs Saints should be a ripping match and we all get to find out whether no Bruce beats no Thompson.
So list your winners, and let the fun begin!
