Every northern academy recruiter has said multiple times on podcasts, Twomey’s Road to the Draft, SEN interviews etc, that they won’t bid on another clubs player just for the sake of it, but only if they rate the player and want the player at that pick.

Conole has even said it on the Roar Deal when discussing the 2018 draft, and was asked if he thought of bidding on Jarrod Cameron at the Tom Berry pick.

I don't think he's overrated, he's a really nice player that a lot of teams would like the low risk option, I just think we're in a position with our list to try and target some real game changers that could be a little more high risk high reward.

I hope I’m wrong and he becomes a star with someone who is so young he may in fact improve on he’s kicking skills I’d personally prefer the player that’s going to take the risk kick and make that work the only player we really we have that does that is Rich

I reckon it's going to be really interesting to see just how much of the journo groupthink is completely off the mark. There are a few who I wouldn't be surprised jump into the top 10-15 bracket without forewarning, and we find out later that a few clubs had them higher than the journos. Guys like Knevitt, or Butler, or Chesser, or Van Rooyen. We're hearing now that Wilmot might be higher. Gonna be really interesting to see who else is possibly higher than the journos thought.

Every interview you hear with a player or player manager they are asked what clubs have interviewed them the most or most recently and which clubs appear most interested as with Chesser yesterday. They are just answering the questions. And managers are doing the same.

I always find it fascinating before the draft when players say "yeah, I've got a lot of interest from X and Y and Z". If I were those clubs, I'd be re-thinking whether a player telling private info to get on a radio show was right for the club.

After the draft of course, go nuts. It is interesting to know which clubs were interested where.

Well my research consists entirely of looking up said players on Instagram and Twitter to check their profiles. This research has found of three players. Sinn, Chesser and Wilmot. Only Wilmot has a open profile, and he is followed by Dom Ambrogino who he also follows back.
Mr Wimont has a girlfriend he is very in love with, with all the lovely endearing comments on pictures of the two.
Mr Wilmot also follows Collingwood, who he supports since his father played 5 games with them in VFL.
