Yet here we are...most overlooked for that important def upgrade option.

...and our reset will involve mids rooks that have already mooed...
You'll still be waiting for us to be SC worthy.:moustache:
There is always a few rook's that get missed.

Sometimes they come along at the wrong time. This campaigner is fat guts McGoverns replacement right? There were WC kents on here talking up how tough fat guts is, he hardly misses, won't be out long. Probably put a lot off.

TL;DR shit happens

Thinking the same
Yeah I have no issue doing it. Cash leagues are more important than overall. I think I will end up top 2000 still. I have one upgrade to make ( Poulter ) and I have 11 trades to do it. Then I am pretty set.

I have also looked through the fixture in my cash leagues, looks like I will be pretty safe for finals if I win one of the next two. I should be good this week. I have 21 playing.

Ok going early on Newcombe to fund getting Touk and Whitfield. If Parks and Newcombe get picked next week I'll have 18 before I do trades. Providing Weightman, Waterman, Reeves and Robertson are all named again.

Holding Grundy, hopefully the 2 bonus trades will be kept for injury trades.

I would love this, but on Saturday please. Around 16:42.
Speak a bit louder please, couldn't hear you from down there at 5000 rank lel

rd12 = 19/1930 (1 trade used)
rd13 = 20/2009 (3 trades used)
rd14 = 18/1776 (3 trades used)

bye average = 1905

rank before the byes = 404
rank after the byes = 247

Only scored 5,628 across the byes, I think.
But rose 2,050 spots, back into 1,200.
Not exceptional by any means, but OK under the circumstances.

Ok the byes are done and I don't know about you guys but I feel theres such a deep satisfaction resetting your onfield teams once it's done.
For me it's like"oh ok, so that's what you look like now. I see......"

So post them up gang .....let's see how you team looks right now ?

Jumped up 37 spots during the bye rounds, was ranked 88 overall at the start.

My Oliver to Lyon trade is gonna be an interesting viewing throughout the remaining rounds.

I thought about trading out Clarry during the byes but didn't like the idea of death riding one of my own teams best players for the remainder of the season so sidewaysed Grundy > Whitfield instead and kept the 120k price difference in the bank towards roughie-ing Grundy next week.

+ 1 here .....certainly the trade paid dividends last round

Still feeling I'll have to get Oliver back in .....for Cripps if he keeps the current form up, but happy to watch for a few weeks

I am always on the side of "don't trade your premos". They Grundy made sense because a "3-week" 600k on your bench so that was a justified reason.

The Oliver -> Lyon trade didn't make much sense but I did some numbers in the background to see what the trade would look like. Plus I am just going all-out.

1. Had 17 players -> Oliver to Lyon gave me 18. Banked that 141 point (VC), looking at my team there wasn't an obvious captain choice. I would of captain (Kelly) this gave me an additional 40 points so that trade net alone 181 total points. Plus it was againt North and I am like okay this looks good (plus poddish pick in the top 500). Therefore for Oliver to match Lyons output already the numbers follows.

Lyons (115 average) vs Oliver.

181 + (115 x 9) = 1216/9 (Oliver no.games) = 135 average for Oliver which I find it hard to sustain (Think Oliver will average 125) and if that is the case I gained 100 total points in the 1 trade alone (Is it worth it? refer to point 2).

Looking at the fixture run home, Brisbane has a much easier run compared to Melbourne (De-Boar tag/O Connor and generally some harder games). However I am super concerned of that Adelaide game that they have.

2. The extra 55k I got from that trade alone lets me upgrade a weak M8 (Brayshaw into someone decent or do 1 up 1 down into Bont). Oliver Breakeven is 199 as well so if he plays average and gets tagged we can see him drop sub 600k and I repick him up in 3 rounds from doing Brayshaw -> Oliver. Brayshaw has a easy 3 game stretch. Therefore 125 Oliver overage vs Brayshaw 105 for 6 more rounds can net me another 120 points.

A lot of moving parts but that was my thinking behind it.

Hub in VIC with TAS an option claims Ralphy. Claims can't play in a single weekend due to lack of venues so footy frenzy on the cards (game every day).

We've already seen how the AFL fails to deal with common sense fixturing. Here you go.

Thurs MCG
Fri Etihad
Sat MCG / Etihad / Kardinia Park / Tassie
Sun MCG / Etihad / Kardinia Park / Tassie

That's 10 games. We only need to cater for 9.
