It’s a bullshit gimmick where once you place the bet you get a slot machine which will give you a multiplier from 1.01 to 3x. I’ve never gotten more than 1.02x

I usually get around 1.03-1.40

agree it should let the punter know exactly what it is- before placing the bet.

Ah yeah they do limit the use of the multiplier as well. No idea how they work that out though. TAB usually rubbish for multis

Oh and you can't use the multiplier with a bonus bet. Not many books allow that, it's either the bonus bet or the boost.
