Genuinely can't remember the last time our key forward depth has been this good. McLean & Amartey are kicking bags in the VFL for fun whereas in years past we'd have probably had no choice but to play them in the seniors and find excuses for why they were in the team.

2nd quarter, Essendon only got it past their half forward line for 1 point.
Bloods kicked 4 goals against the wind.

Sheldrick has had a quieter week as has Amartey who hasn’t had any impact this week

Enjoyed that first half. Essendon obviously under-manned but we played well. Great pressure, moved the ball well, good decision-making.
Loved that end-to-end goal from Gould kickout and Roberts' bomb from the 50.


The ressies commentators are much more knowledgeable about the players than the A-grade callers.
