Whats hilarious now...

Due to lack of blooding of kids. What are we going to do.

Debut Binns, Lord, Lemmey, Mirkov, Moir v West Coast...

None of which up to now, the club has thought demand a spot

Never mind that the players aren’t doing their job hey? Must be the talent guy that brought them in
Chicken versus egg at best. Why aren't they doing their job? Even when we were winning it was clear that we were carrying a lot of players. Many just aren't up to it or at the very least are being asked to be 'generals' when they are really 'foot soldiers'. That's a list management issue.

Defenders who can defend one-on-one. Strong through the body and don’t slip over. Cant play two third-talls with an inability to defend in the same backline (Kemp, Gov).

Small forwards with a bit of zip but more importantly with high work rate and high IQ of reading the play to be in the right spots. Hitting the pack at speed, constantly on the move at stoppage..

Dynamic half forward to replace Martin and Cunningham.

One midfielder with a bit more dynamic movement to complement our bigger bodies.

Prioritise durability.

If I’m a rebounding defender I’m not too worried about Motlop, Owies or Hollands running me down; even Fogarty wouldn’t worry me if I’m quick.
If I’m a quick midfielder I’d be backing myself to burst away from Cripps, Hewett, Cerra, Kennedy.
We are handicapped defensively because of pace.
That same lack of pace makes scoring more difficult too.

voss is paying penance for some of the decisions before and around him. but committing some sins of his own, too.

writing was on the wall for the make up of our side when we traded out two of our quicker players - dow and fisher. yes, they were fringe. but nothing coming in, at least that voss was willing to play, at all. at least we have tried to fill up the key defender position the last few years, but have been unlucky.

Dow and Fisher were not quick. They had decent agility and a good first few steps but they were poor runners and laboured around the ground.

The issue was keeping Marchbank, Martin and Cuningham

Couldn't agree more with all of this. Spot on.

I hope we go big at the draft. We need an injection of talented youth

Gets a couple of DFAs/cheap trades to help, fill roles but we need quality draft picks.

I’d go all in including trading future picks
And players. There is some dead wood who do not compliment this list at all despite being decent players. They've got to go

Game breaking speed, elite field kicks & not with 1 ply tissue paper for hammies.

Where, how and how soon can we find some?

Also, a forward of the Ben Keays would go ok too.

Time to make some trades. It’s not all doom and gloom but we need to add numerous top picks into this team and fast. And anyone who says they will need years to develop, look at last years mids in the top dozen or so. Breathing new life into teams. Where as what new players drafted to us last year played this year??????

It’s fair to say that we are just slow and have next to no energy. And then you see Cowan and you go, oh yeah, he’s a positive and going to be a player.

Footskills, speed and a want to win.

Trade whoever but give us a balanced side

The last two trade periods I’ve thought we’ve sat on our hands a little to much been to quiet. Now there could be various reasons for that, but it seems like we’ve fallen behind the pack a little in terms of reading where the game is headed and bringing in the specific players needed for us to head in that particular/same direction/keep up with the pack.
Imo u could see it(although not as bad) that we were troubled by teams who had genuine leg speed and quick ball movement last season. It seems that we sat on our hands a little and didn’t react enough when I feel we should have last trade period.
We’ve just got to be clear on what we require and go specifically get it.
hopefully we get internal improvements from some of our younger players as well. Mots needs another level/wilson comes on/kemp? Can we reinvent him? Durdin? Can we get him fitter/on the park more and play him through the middle? ECT ect
