Sub can be whoever, let's just go with the vibe and wonder why a third of the list is injured and we fade out in the final 10 minutes of each half. It's an unsolvable mystery!

Ribs, 5 day back up. Suspect Marchbank for McGovern. OR Young gets a gig with their top heavy and not overly mobile forward line. (Dixon cooked, Marshall good on his day but just had his day out, Georgiades and Finlayson capable, but not really firing)

Carroll needs a full game, so suspect Durdin or Motlop would get the nod for sub.

Just a tiny aside is that the Mid season draft is the day prior. If we were to draft McMahon, is there a flukers chance he gets a gig as sub? Outlandish, but on VFL form, he would be close. The other question is where Pitto might be at with the finger. Nit really sub material, but who knows?

Personally I’d like to see not many changes this week as we really need to build some semblance of continuity. On that basis the only change should be Motlop for Carroll in the sub role.

Rozee and JHF are deadly forward of centre but earning the ire of Port fans as one-way runners

Butters is the key to their midfield. Limit his influence and it goes a long way to exposing the above weaknesses.

Due to rain for the first time this year in Adelaide on Thursday; both teams play tall so will be interesting to see if there are adjustments to the structure. Hard to deny we looked better with Williams as the third tall and TDK rucking solo. Makes McKay a more involved player, too.

Wish Cez was fit. Not opposed to Motlop as sub.

This might be dated, but from a former Port player; “really don’t like playing against Cripps”.

The only change I’d consider is Motts for Fantasia. But we’re playing against Fanta’s old mob, so I’d also be happy if we go in unchanged.
