Robey CDT and Duursma are all top tier.

Then there's another 5 or 6.

Robey also Essendon fan so if they want him that bad they can bloody well cough up for him.

So we are taking a half back and a wing at 3 and 4 despite needing midfielders, and the best mids magically slip to Essendon. Again.

What’s interesting with that is it was his on field performances against men in the EFL that caught the eyes of eastern that got him back into the 18s Coates program.

So might not be too much of an issue

It’s not about the size it’s just about the type of player he is

You either want a gut runner who sacrifices his game to play fat side, outside player with pace and good kick to play an attacking link up role or a junkyard dog stopper just to lock someone down

It’s a waste of Smillies attributes that lend themselves to the midfield, link up player who can bully his way through congestion

Can’t take an overhead mark. Dan Curtin is an elite contested mark, that’s the whole point of his role, monstering smaller wingers down the line and working back into defence to intercept.
