FMD he was expected to go in first 7 as part of the top group. And he went there because he dominated champs.

Fred had a poor champs and looked like he was running in sand at u/18 level.

Sharp
Robey
Cumming
Grlj
Yeah he did and thats why he has dropped from being a top 5 -10 pick he was predicted to go 12 months ago
but that doesnt mean he will he a bad career.

Lets see in a few years what he becomes
i am confident he makes it

Exactly Mate, he’s guessing and would have zero inside knowledge

He definitely has some. Just not from us, they just based on what managers and other clubs who leak think we might do. I’d say they’re reasonable educated guesses because clubs know how many meetings you have with players, if you want medical things assessed and just what they hear from managers and families. They all knew by this point last year we were taking Lalor with FOS at 2.

But we also supposedly threw out Bo Allan last year as a smokescreen.

Jobe Shanahan would have been a good selection.

I’m happy enough with Faull and Armstrong. The mistake in my book (in hindsight) was Sims over Dodson.

The knock on Dodson was his commitment to Footy, why would you take that chance.

I would be ecstatic if Robey lasted to Essendons pick.

Tigers could easily trade back a spot from 4-5, and pick up a second rounder from efc if they are not interested in Robey.

if I had Tigers picks would go
3 Robey/Sharp
4 CDT / X Taylor
38 Kellaway match
rookie - Kickett

Tigers can hardly go wrong though as should get 2 good players with their picks.

Nah Blair the mastermind knew TDK would request St Kilda and Dodson would be sick of being backup just in time for when Nank retires.

He doesn't have as much Aura as Watson, .....is a player that Tigers could trade back a few spots back ( say 4 to 8)and still pickup and improve their draft had in 2026.
Yeah but, have you heard of

Essendon conspiracy IMO

Wait until FIGJAM Twomey names his and picks the same players going to us.
Twomey will continue trying to quietly support Essendon getting the best player via rankings until his phantom draft the day before the draft, where he'll put something closer to the actual order.

Does anyone know how CDT went against OHB in the AIS game against our VFL? Just out of curiosity...
Not that great, pretty sure he duelled old mate & was beaten most of the day in the ruck.
Infact I think all the kids were fairly well beaten that day in the ruck, only reason I remember is I was hoping to see
Kalani White get a crack against our boys but it was not to be.

his phantom drafts are like an essendon vision board. he tries to will things into existence.

His rankings are.

His phantom draft (will come in 3 weeks) will be fairly accurate

I watched kalani White vs Essendon VFL and he played well, won a few hitouts, mind you we only had a backup VFL Ruckman as well. looked so light, add some size to him and he will be a player IMO. Not really rated in many of the phantom drafts though.

i mean no one auragasms over everything like the jizzard

Aside from his parents’ influence, Grlj credited a large portion of his footy development to two key Oakleigh Chargers figures who’ve since been poached by AFL clubs:

Ash Close (now-former Regional Development Coach) and Alex Davey (former Talent Manager).

Close just joined Carlton as a development coach, while Davey has been at Tigerland since the start of the year working across the VFL and AFL programs.

“They put a lot of time and investment into me and helped me discover what my traits were and what I was really good at,” Grlj said.

“I think that’s why I settled more when I came to the 18s program and was able to make certain teams and get a bit more attention and end up at a draft combine.
