It's probably not too unfair to compare to Vlastuin. Rated top 10. Competitive HBF that you draft hoping might transition to midfield at some stage of their AFL career. While Vlas hasn't ever done that, you'd still have to be pretty happy with the return on that top 10 pick.If we take a medium defender in XT with a rare as hens teeth top 5 pick then Blair needs to be bulleted. Its key position or mids only with those high picks. Medium defenders particular ones as vanilla as XT are a dime a dozen from Round 2 onwards.
watched watsons draft higlights, i dont see a vast difference. watson is faster but dovaston is much better in the contest becomes an extra mid at ground level. you can almost guarantee he will be a gun goal kicking small forward. not many other guarantees in this draft.Dovaston is Temu Watson. Watson just better all round.

I'm just playing the %'s. Not many that size make it. Watson's speed and finishing are what I see that set him above most others. I didn't see the finishing class from Dovaston in his finals games, and I think that'll be the difference.watched watsons draft higlights, i dont see a vast difference. watson is faster but dovaston is much better in the contest becomes an extra mid at ground level. you can almost guarantee he will be a gun goal kicking small forward. not many other guarantees in this draft.
this is true, im only using him as an example of a short ass forward that went in the top 5.Everyone compares him to Watson because he’s a little dude with a mullet but I think he plays more like a Brent Daniels. Which isn’t a bad thing at all
Not to be dramatic but if we take Taylor over Robey I’m 100% done with football forever.
Absolute rocks in your brain if you think Blair is picking a vanilla half back with picks 3 or 4Every one should get used to x and the griller
Reckon jasper is bang on
Hopefully Essendon and Melbourne both come for pick 4. We tell Essendon we'll trade with them over Melbourne if we know who theyre going to take, so our player will still be there. 38 becomes 21 as a result. It will be

Sharp & Cumming pure mids.Sharp
Robey
Cumming
Grlj
Can he kick longer than 20mtrs?nick watson went at 5 and i reckon dovaston stacks up pretty favourably next to him
My memory is Langford was never outside the top half dozen… ever. And Twomey had him regularly rated as his personal #1 or #2. If Langford was ever rated beyond #6 then I can’t recall it.Did he ?
Where was Langford meant to go ?
He was always in the pick #6-10 range and went exactly where predicted
its only Twomey with his info about Richmond having an interest that pushed him up similar to Grlj this year
Not comparing the 2 Smith and Sharp, this is more an observation - last years crop of midfielders seemed to be producing lot bigger numbers than this years.I’m curious who would people take in a hypothetical choice between Dyson Sharp and Jagga Smith?
Both prolific juniors & inside mids with limited positional versatility. Both probably have similar strengths and knocks. Jagga probably shades Sharp for agility but Sharp is bigger, stronger, a better mark.
Yet Jagga went pick 3 in a super draft and Sharp is drifting towards 10 and beyond in a much weaker crop according to some mocks.
Or……maybe we don’t take dovaston this year, because we want Arki Butler next year
