1. they want to project like they know something
2. they legit know something but dont want to risk loosing their sauces or hurt the club but also want to share the info

If Essendon or Melbourne want to trade up and secure a particular player, but they find out that we will let a player slip to them anyway, then we lose value by those names becoming public.

At the same time, if he is credible, saying that our rankings would shock fans might be enough to persuade clubs not to offer us much. Assuming they read and believe bigfooty lolol

my best guess is that one of CDT/Robey will be available, that they are the two most coveted by other clubs, and the question of whether we take one or split our pick will come down to how badly Ess/Melb/others want them. It always comes down to whether the price is right.

my best guess is that one of CDT/Robey will be available, that they are the two most coveted by other clubs, and the question of whether we take one or split our pick will come down to how badly Ess/Melb/others want them. It always comes down to whether the price is right.

My feel is if Robey is available we take him. If CDT is available cause Robey is gone then we will see what we can get in a deal for him.

If we dont want Robey and hes on the board i would hope we try sell the pick to Melbourne and get some more currency in return.

If Robey gone by our first pick I can see Sharp or Cumming in that order followed by XT. I think XT is absolutely a lock for us as we will be getting plenty of mids next year.
If CDT is there it will be very tempting as he has real star power.
