I think a lot of us are just concerned that the club will do what we always tend to do and that's pick a player that most teams don't even have that early on their list. This year is different to last, we have 2 top picks we need to get right, not 6 picks in the first round where we got to explore a bit more.

Here we have a denial. Basically official now - when Bombers asked about pick 2, West Coke told them it was 5, 6 and a F1. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

How do you think you get to make this crap up you’ve posted here to support your anti Robey stance and get away with it? I am not for or against Robey, CDT or others. I have watched 4 of his games live and think his kicking, handball etc is average but his physicality, Marking and goal shots are all good. How you can ascertain he has a poor footy IQ from watching YouTube is beyond comprehension. He anticipates the play fantastically and that’s why he’s a high possession impact player and that’s a high football IQ. You’re talking made up bullshit.

Made up? As opposed to your objective assessment? Sorry to disappoint you but even yours is just an opinion (despite the four matches you attended).

I agree he runs to good spots and reads it well, hence his having high possession numbers. But when he is in possession and is under pressure (sometimes when he's not) he seems to make too many bad decisions and disposal errors. That is what I am calling footy iq...creativity, awareness, vision, composure, execution under pressure. Maybe we just have a different idea about "footy IQ"? Running to the right spots and reading the play is also part of it footy IQ btw.

I've got no anti Robey agenda at all. Hopefully we pick him up and he becomes a club legend. He certainly has many potentially elite traits and seems like a good kid. He may tidy these things up at afl level or he may find a role where it doesn't matter too much. Or maybe I'm just wrong. I am a fallible human who is regularly wrong about things just like everybody.

I'm getting my opinion from watching the every disposal videos on Footy Stuff YouTube channel. It's great stuff and hardly useless. Do you think that's a useless source? If so, what are we all doing here? Maybe only people attending live matches can have opinions?

I think people are getting a bit excited by the bolter narrative. Maybe they want to say "I was there when he had 40 and 3" or "I was on him early". You say you're not for or against him but you sound a bit defensive and attached to him to me.

It's a very high pick and it's important to look carefully and not get swept up in the narrative. I think the Powell-pepper similarities are real. Thankfully that's what our recruiters are guns at doing and it will be fascinating to see what they decide. They seem to like players with high footy iq judging from last draft so I will be surprised if Robey's name is read out personally. Will be interesting to see where he goes and how he goes. Good luck to the kid. He's certainly got some weapons.

There's only a handful of scenarios where I think you should draft a player in the Sharp profile, and I'm not sure we fit any of those scenarios. When you look at how the league is developing, then it's even less of an issue to draft someone like Sharp given our midfield needs.

After the latest Smillie injury news I've adjusted my picks. We have to get the midfield right. Smillie is a bonus if he ever comes good.

Grlj is out. We can draft his type down the track or use a later pick this year (e.g.Le Ray).

2 of the following 3 are absolutely necessary, but in order of personal preference:-

Robey
Sharp
Cumming

CDT is still a hard no and I'll flipping loose it if we take him. Taylor - it's just the wrong player type too.
