thinking Sam Cumming and then Sharp, then Robey and CDT.

I just think factoring in injury possibilities Sam might be the wisest, then Sharp and then Robey. CDT could the the best but possibilities for injury worry me a little with players a little suspect potentially

Like a number of his Eastern Ranges teammates, Xavier Taylor improved in leaps and bounds over the course of the season and rose steadily up draft boards as a result. He was very much focused on his defensive duties to start the season, showing his elite ability to lock down on a variety of opposition forwards, but with growing confidence through the middle of the year he started to blossom as an attacking threat, picking his moments to run off his direct matchup and damage through the middle of the ground. It all came together for him in the Talent League Grand Final where he was deservedly named best on ground, at times looking like a one man wall across the defensive 50 as well as racking up a stack of the footy going forward.

Interesting that he notes his 'high speed and power ability'. Maybe he's not such a poor athlete as the naysayers like to point out....

The article mentioned that Sharp had improved his transition running, which is the first time I've heard that aspect of his game improving this season.

I think his power and speed bursting from contest has been well documented as one of his biggest weapons as a midfielder, but whether he can maintain that speed and add endurance to it once the game is more transitional has been a bigger question.

For many, the lack of transitional running is why Sharp's draft range goes from anywhere between pick 2 at WCE, to falling down to Essendon or Melbourne with a pick in the teens after academy and F/S bids.

I'm nervous about drafting a young ruckman. That said, if he projects as the next Luke Jackson (and good judges say he does) then he's worth an early first round pick.

The biggest difference between Jackson's draft year and CDT is that Jackson was genuinely dominating ruck contests (something like 40 odd hit outs a game), whilst CDT isn't as dominant, averaging about 20 odd hit outs (can't remember the exact numbers off the top of my head, but I remember someone saying that Jackson was averaging roughly double CDT's ruck numbers).

I think its more of a list balance call. I don't see a huge difference between all the options on pure talent.

Do we just go both Sharp and Robey?? I know there's concerns around our pace, but they will be the best two available and both seem impossible to pass up (I'm expecting CDT to go at 2).
