Cos we need mids and we'll pick at least 1. No chance we'd go a half back and a ruckman with both picks IMO.Why would we change our second pick from XT to Cumming? If we rate players surely we don’t change our minds because the Eagles took Robey, not CDT.
Robey to Richmond instead of Sharp? This is much better than Tigerbob 's mailNot much mail on my end regarding the draft this year. Club is playing it closer to their chest.
What I have heard:
Club is super keen on Robey and CDT. Whoever is leftover after West Coast is who Richmond will pick at 3, unless Essendon offer us a deal we can't refuse to take them.
Club still torn between Grlj, Taylor and Cumming for the second pick if we don't trade and have not settled on the preference. Hearing that Cumming is the less likely of the 3. Club rate Taylor as being potentially elite, but also see him as less of a needs based pick depth wise than what Grlj does, esepecially with Yze now wanting to focus on quick ball movement.
Essendon really keen on Sharp if they can't get CDT/Robey. Bombers nuffie and also has leadership qualities that the club wants to back in, similar to us with Cotchin. They see him as potentially a cultural builder, future captain and will help when Merrett leaves/retires. Bombers could also be tempted by pairing Sharp with Cumming to help ease the go home factor. Xavier Taylor is a potential pick for them as well with Redman and Ridley aging and not being able to stay on the park.
Hawks and Dees very high on Jacob Farrow. Reckon Dees take the slider of Taylor or Cumming as well.
Keep an eye out for Leon Kickett or Louis Emmett with our pick in the 30's as well.
I think you’re wrong. I believe we’ll have a list, order already determined and pick accordingly.Cos we need mids and we'll pick at least 1. No chance we'd go a half back and a ruckman with both picks IMO.

Would be staggering if he wasn't to be fair.I think you’re wrong.

HBF's used to be role players years ago, now they form the nucleus of attacking transition plays from the back half.Drafting a role player with pick 3 or 4 is laughable.
CDT is a mid![]()

Always a first time for everything I guess.
Looks cooked already

Not keen on.Back to the draft.
Jevan Phillipou saying that of all clubs we have expressed the most interest in him is really fascinating.
Pick 3 & 4 would be too high.
He isn’t slipping to 38.
So maybe there is something trade wise in the works?
I don’t mind the selection in a teens pick of him.
Clubs obviously really rate X Taylor, based on what he could develop into and his rating as one of the best 2 defenders in this year’s crop.
He’s the player I’m not sure about at P4. I think the comparisons with Weddle are off the mark when it comes to athleticism , he’s a good athlete but not elite. Personally I like Grlj better and can see how others rate Cumming and Sharp ahead of him.
But he brings toughness, he’s extroverted, great one-on-one, and can intercept and attack from defence . Think this game stacks up in finals style football.
Torn.
Dees always seem not afraid to put the cat amongst pigeons. Was just thinking the same thing, are we firming to trade down one of our picks?
Who would be the teams likely to trade with us?
Melbourne with picks 7 & 8? Seems overs
Carlton with 9 & 11? With our pick 4 & 38? To get ahead of the possible Dean bid?
Essendon 6 & 21? Would pick 21 be too late?
Maybe there's a team with a pick in the teens and a F1? Hawks? GWS? Adelaide?
Imagine we look past Robey, draft Taylor and trade down, this board will melt.![]()
I originally didn’t care for Robey because of all the hype and all Tiger YouTuber accounts not stfu about him but I can’t hold back and I’m melting. If he’s available and we don’t take him not going to be happy.
We lack half forward quality. Him and Lalor for the next 12 odd years we’re set in that department.
Grijl fits our need for the next pick and Taylor fits the proto type role just not sure who’s better.
Go Sharp and keep it safe?!
Not keen on.
Seems to be full of himself
Last year’s super draft , Travaglia and Tauru went in the top 10. I’m not comparing their games to Taylor’s , but one is an intercept defender one sets up attack from defence, so the precedent is there for going early on defenders.Big games (especially finals) are won with an elite intercept backman setting up attack from defence. I've liked him from the outset and would be rapt if we got him.
Robey's highlights looked very, very good. He reminded me of Bont whilst watching his highlights. Very excited to have him on board if that's the way the club goes.
We need speed but can take that on next year and also trade for it next year. Or develop our own into the running player that we need.
Lets just its Grilj we're after in the split. But if we downgrade too far we might not even get the players we want. Sounds too risky, if we are set on a couple players, just pick them
