Sadly for us, we're back to two trades a week.

For those lucky enough to have a full premo side (I won't use the word "completed" as there's always upgrades or loop options) the return to two trades should still provide enough scope to trade rookie B.E's and offload the Daniels, Rankines and other non performing pretenders. (Merrett, you've got two weeks or you're gone)

I traded Whitfield last round as my magic 8-ball has him missing the WCE game. Perhaps that's just wishful thinking, and maybe GWS see this as a danger game with our good showing vs Collingwood. Either way, those with Whitfield will be eagerly stalking the ✈️ departure lounge later this week.

If Sheezel is out, he will be a sideways trade (likely to NWM but that will require +$72k)

So for me,
Box or Kako to Rowston
Sheez to NWM.

If you've managed to "complete" your side, the old rule "don't trade your premos" is out the window. Trade them at will, trade them out of frustration but trade them wisely.

If you're sideways trading mids, for heaven's sake, avoid anyone who has an incoming tag. It's brutal. Serong went from hero to zero in the space of the bye rounds (still better than my entire side which went from zero, to.... Well, I'm still at zero)

Remember, after the completion of round 17, we'll have an extended lockout so you'll be stuck looking at this week's team for a few more hours whilst Warnie and the team throw DPP status on a few spuds, and a couple of others we don't really need for the pre Rd 18 DPP.

Long & J.Graham (Somehow made it this far)

Errol & Miers/Trac
any good mid & Nic Martin.

tough one i love errol but martin is needed

If Whitfield is good to go then Keays to him and Long > Tom Green, Rowston if named would be tempting.

132k in the bank, moved up around 15k spots, Originally was going to do something along the lines of

Daniel to Jackson
Johnson to Liddy

But if Sheezel is out, I may have to turn it another way. Maybe,

Sheezel to Gulden
Daniel to Macrae

Cash in FOS

Put that on top of Mills or Daniel which should be around $1 mill mark depending on the downgrade for FOS. Whitfield is tempting, as is Caldwell.

Third trade will be......
Nevermind.
Mills is interesting for me, not sure what to do with him. Still had the role but just wasn’t the game for him. See also: Matt Roberts

Long > Gulden

Butler > Rowston

Or could go super aggressive for the second trade and go one of Sinc/Sheezel out for one of Whitfield/Ash for the WC matchup

Errol and miers !

Spewing $3k short of Martin and green.

Very happy with my team, TMac last rookie but good for now I can move bergman mills Mckercher up to a premo mid I reckon

best midfielder under 900k?
Thinking between the likes of Oliver,Newc,Neale,Pickett

Ranked 596th overall, I’m locking in Hardeman to Rowston as my first trade.

Then trying to decide whether to upgrade Z.Johnson to McKercher/Bergman (leaving no rookies on field), or…

Upgrade one of Daniel/Long/Cerra to Caldwell/Gulden/Whitfield and leave McCarthy as the only rookie on field.

(Assuming Sheezel isn’t out)…

Any suggestions on what’s the better play?

Absolutely the latter - probably moving Long or Cerra. Long's B/E is 106 and will likely lose money this week.

McKercher still has at least another week of good cash gen, if not two - all whilst averaging 94.5 in his last 4 in the role - which is better than those you'd keep anyway.

I’m confused, are you suggesting I trade Long to McKercher instead of a premo (Caldwell/Gulden/Whit) and keeping McCarthy on field?

Oh my lord, sorry. I'm too tired and read McCarthy as McKercher hahaha. Disregard that.

Absolutely leave McCarthy on field and move Long to your pick of the crop. Caldwell's run home looks silky smooth.
