pushing someone into the contest can be dangerous. it’s crept into the game a bit of late but mostly in marking contests not so much at stoppages.
I don’t mind them doing something to stamp it out and making an example of a nobody in a VFL game isn’t the worst place to start.
Totally agree......and it's not needed in the AFL or VFL or any comp.....but I'd go one step further..............not can be but IS dangerous......

That'll be over in 15 minutes.
"Did he need to swing his arm like that?"
"No"
"Did he mean to hit Sparrow in the head?"
"No"
"So you'd agree that the action was careless but not intentional?"
"Yes...wait!"
"Upheld".
I agree, but let us have our delusions for a day.I'd love to not have to trade him, but with the AFL suspending players for basic actions like tackles that have potential to cause injury, you can't be letting guys off who clothesline players and knock them out cold.
Even if gets reduced to 2 weeks I’d be happy. Would hold him for SC finals all going well.I agree, but let us have our delusions for a day.
He's probably got an argument that sparrow was pushed forward and if that didn't happen he wouldn't have knocked him out, but that at best reduces it. But I'm not sure it can be reduced from 3 anyway.
Forgot about Cerra, at this point I'm going to expect the worst.
Absolutely. Two weeks and he stays in my team. Would prefer Xerri and Gawn in the first week of finals to TDK and Gawn. Obviously depends on where people sit in their league(s) though.Even if gets reduced to 2 weeks I’d be happy. Would hold him for SC finals all going well.
Not playing - especially after the injury fiasco last year and general made-of-glass nature - seems more likely for mine.
Would love him to play, get subbed early on 15 and then miss a month. Not playing - especially after the injury fiasco last year and general made-of-glass nature - seems more likely for mine.
I'd like to do both a laughWould love him to play, get subbed early on 15 and then miss a month.

If the muppets at Port had any sense they would shut him down for the remainder of the season.

The AFL has stated it is seeking a fine of $6250 for Cerra, not a suspension.
AFL counsel Andrew Woods has gone into an explanation of why this is at the Tribunal (increase in cases of umpire contact etc). – Michael Whiting
They’ve already confirmed it won’t be a suspensionHopefully just a bigger fine and not a suspension mate
I thought Sparrow ducked, or was that Duck sparrowed...not sure. I could live with 2 weeks but not to have a donut the first week of SC finals. That'll be over in 15 minutes.

Loose changeThey've been arguing for over an hour on whether Cerra should be fined $6,250 or $5,000.
The hearing is costing Carlton $10,000.
