This thread is for the 2025 Draft Order.

Through the trade period I will try and keep it as up to date as possible, but I am one person so please be patient.

I have also set up threadmarks on the round updates, and will do the same through the trade period as picks change hands. This allows you to put the thread in reader mode, only seeing updates, or to jump back and forth to particular trades that may be of interest. I've accidentally updated the Worpel compo before the De Koning compo when in reality they happened in the reverse order, but it shouldn't affect anything else.

Essendon receive Band 2 compensation for Sam Draper, who joins Brisbane as a Free Agent New
Why is Carltons compo pick for Silvagni (19) before Bombers compo for Draper (20)? Surely Bombers compo comes first? ie reverse ladder order.
It moves around as more picks are added.

Carlton's pick was 19 because it slotted in ahead of the priority pick for West Coast.

Then De Koning went in at pick 9 and everything shuffled down, with Carlton's Silvagni pick being 20.

Then they added Essendon's Draper pick ahead of the Carlton Silvagni pick (reverse ladder order), and everything moves down another spot.

So now Carlton's pick is 21, after Essendon and before West Coast.

The WCE, Essendon and Carlton, all have an end of first round pick. Surprisingly, different footy personnel has different interpretation in terms of the the actual pick numbers. I have seen at least three different versions.

Yeah the compensation picks go in reverse ladder and then the priority pick seems to go after that. It’s unclear why that’s the case but it is.

I suppose if you get Band 2 for Allen then you’d have one at the start of end of round 1 and one at the end of end of round 1 🤷‍♀️😅🧐
