Carlton have made two changes ahead of their Round 18 clash with the Lions.

I think the club prefers the cohesion in the reserves with the kids currently. Taking Lemmey out of the that team will have drastic effects on their performance. Losing Durdin and cincotta doesn’t really impact them as their is better reserves players that can play their role (Nelson, Hogg, Phipps-parsons and Stevens) in the seconds which would happily jump on an AFL list.

The one thing I’m concerned with is the impact acres could potentially have negatively on the reserves performance by missing targets and kicking it OOF every third disposal.

So we're prioritising VFL "cohesion" over our AFL team?

I can't believe we've picked Pitto yet again. Back to the well on a tactic that definitely does not work and never has.

He's an honest toiler, but I am pretty certain that no other team would pick him up if we delisted him.

I would agree.

I quite like him but feels like a luxury to pick a guy who is having so little impact.

Voss starting to lose me with his reluctance to drop Doc and Fog

The match/selection committee have been a joke for 3 years, favourites being played besides form and injury, injured players rushed straight back in who breakdown again repeatedly despite form…

Returning players from injuries continuously not given time in the reserves to enable recovery/bodies the time to recover fitness & performances for promotion, reserves players not being rewarded for form or given a game then dropped…

Selection integrity, is still a bloody joke, it’s been a major problem which has produced a wave of ongoing standards not being enforced, which has reflected poorly on the very people who should be setting them…

Reckon we’ll see fog get a run in the middle this week, won’t help the kicking portion of our woes but will help with the pressure around the ball.

Agree with Acres being dropped, been horrible all season. Fogarty has been just as bad, had a couple of okay games. But

generally, has stunk it up. Just keeps getting picked though, just wrong.

Like the selection of doch/tdk as sub in the final and the treatment of Kennedy. Club has to wake up to itself. Can do this BS stuff if you’re legit but then continuously playing the likes of doch and acres (finally dropped) shows you’ve got no tru standards and apply it when it’s convenient to you.

I'm suggesting he has had an average season, and he has not exhibited the discipline or footy smarts that Voss has required of him. He has burnt his teammates consistently, and has returned to trying to do too much himself.

As to whether he should be dropped or not, I can't say. Others are ahead of him for sure, but I have been disappointed at his rehearsed media appearances, followed by him not doing what he said the team were going to do.

I’d be picking White and Binns in front of Fogarty.

I’m not sure what Binns did to cop tge 3Q time spray from Voss. The whole team including seniors were poor.

At least players like Binns white Carroll Hof HOK etc give 100% effort.

If we don't play him, we've got a ruckman who appears to be playing safe so so as to protect his bank balance next year
Last year was different...TDK had purpose...this year, his head is elsewhere

Agree on this, Pitto was solid in the ruck it was just TDK was useless as a forward. I also think that if we know that TDK is going we need to find out if Pitto can hold down the #1 ruck spot, we wont know unless we expose him.

Last time I remember any true grit and determination from this team was that run in 2023 that culminated in a prelim. Sure it probably cooked us and wasn't a part of a sustainable game plan, but the sheer effort was there.

Since then... nadda.
