Not expecting much because the boys have checked out, Voss has lost them and they simply have no desire. It's not all on Voss either, I'm just as filthy with quite a few of the players.

Prove me wrong baggers.
With you about Vossy, he is an admirable person imo. He has lost them though, senior players are putting in effort early in

the game and then when the going gets too tough. Oh well, we are screwed whats the point, lets just go through the

motions. The senior players at pies, cats or lions would never behave like this. Real indictment on our leaders imo.

Last time I remember any true grit and determination from this team was that run in 2023 that culminated in a prelim. Sure it probably cooked us and wasn't a part of a sustainable game plan, but the sheer effort was there.

Since then... nadda.
And then the following year we needed to fix our preseason in order to be ready for a full year. We were primed early but went too hard and faded. Sacked our SnC boss and went with a new program that has not improved our ability to run out games and bodies are now breaking down again anyway.

We were super fit early 2024. I want that back.

I don't mind the team as selected.

The Cincotta expirement has to end. He tags a player off the half back line, he is not threat when we are going forward which is the biggest issue with our system. It means we are playing with 5 forwards and this makes defending against us a lot easier. I am all for defending against good half back but the guy doing the job needs to be a threat when we are going forward and he isn't. Cincotta has onball qualities, which I would love to see but wont as long as we have this coaching group. He is a defender first and formost.

Moir, McGovern and Cunrow as our only targets going forward. It's not enough. It's better than last week. Last week going with Curnow and Moir as our only viable targets made us incredible easy to stop. Put a gun defender like Moore on Moir and send numbers to Curnow. Playing McGovern in defence was super dumb and this is why we need a clean out of the coaches. This made it so easy for the opposition side and their coaches. Having these three targets isn't enough. I can tell you exactly where the ball will go when it gets past centre. It won't be Motlop, Fogarty, Cincotta, Fantasia, Durdin or Young. So it's still going to be easy to defend against us. We needed to select another viable target like Lemmy. DeKoning and Pittonet are not forwards and are practically useless when forward. I am expecting the relentless intercepting to once again be what wares us down.

Our backline is ok. I hope we trust O'Farrell more and leave McGovern out of it. I don't mind our defence, it is missing Silvagni but this is valuable expierence for O'Farrell.

Carroll named on a wing. I have been interested in the potential of him to play wing. He's got pace and he is a good kick. Silky player. Fair to say I am a fan.

Could you argue that Charleson should get the spot in defence over Cincotta? For development yes, he's a ready made AFL player who I feel will fit in extremely well in an organised and system orientated team which our defence mostly is.

Our midfield is far too slow and immobile. We have gone from deciding Kennedy, Cripps and Hewett are too slow to going with Lord, Cripps and Hewett which is just as slow and not as good. Our recruitment of the wrong type of midfielder has come back to bite us, particularly with token fast mid Walsh missing.

Who plays wing will be intersting. Will be interesting to see how we go, the side doesn't look very good. I think the good players in our side are really getting targetted and shut down and that the que is in the rack a bit for this season.

It would be nice to see us try and fix up our weak areas but I don't think this side does that at all.

Little bit excited.

Realistically you’d think Brizzie are travelling interstate with a 5 day break & minimal changes, so you’d think there’s a toll to pay.

We’re getting some continuity into the younger guys, so that’s nice.

Going with 2 rucks is a bit of a luxury so hopefully Pitt can play an enforcer role & knock a few around. which is something we critically miss.

Keeping a keen, but not over critical eye on the young guys, Moir & Carroll I like.

Baggers by 79 points.

Get on it.😁👍

Go early and go hard. Champagne Supernova.

looks like only 2 players are responsible for our lack lustre efforts in the past 4-5weeks !
You are right. Quite a few more players needed a stint in the VFL. Again selection integrity falls short. No Lemmney again. I wonder if Voss is just hoping for a response. Failed to get that for a lot of weeks now. Not going to do the finals this year. Why not check the VFL list now?
