Rookie at best
its like he deliberately just kicks it to space instead of hitting a target. even when under no pressure. not sure whats going on between his ears or whos coaching him to do that but its not a good look.

Take a look at this. Skip to 2 mins in and watch through. Definitely wins contested ball but kicking??? Keen to watch games this year to see his improvement.

Looks terrible in that footage

would hate for us to even consider him based on that vision

The expected move of Noah Williams into a full time midfield role this season produced a solid first up display. Even though his Falcons team copped a bit of a beating on the day, Noah showed the qualities that should see him thrive on ball in spite of his lack of size. He plays with a physical edge, loves the contested stuff, and enjoys applying defensive pressure. He has the burst of pace to carry the ball out of congestion into space where he can use his penetrating left boot.

Watched the Harry van Hattum R1 highlights, my god we need him. Would love to somehow generate another first round pick in this draft somehow and its looking pretty good so far
Agree… he excites me more than what CDT did this time last year… 204cm already too in which he’ll likely grow another couple of cms

Was falcons best in the half or so I watched.

Do you watch the full game then cut them up or are you looking specifically at a player and clipping on the run?

The other falcons I really like was Fletcher Pulleine. Really reminded me of Vlastuin.

Subtle way of asking for a video without asking for a video when hes already told you off for it you campaigner 😂😂

Can't kick for crap, little dinky kicks that miss the target, likes to throw the ball on the boot and just kick to space. He also looks very short.

Hard pass for me.

Nah not all in on Fletcher yet, vid can wait. Just putting his name out now so if by champs/draft he looks a gun I can say I was early like on Grlj, Sully and Oskar. ;)

I watch some full games on the weekend as they're happening, but when I'm editing I'm zipping through it and clipping out the bits I need.

Believe he's 206cm now and still 4 months until he's 18.

kid is max gawn like, dont care what the rule is about taking ruckmen early if you get a chance to nab a gawn you take it.

A strong first up performance from a guy who'll be right up there with the leading possession accumulators across this draft year. Knapp works his backside off to get from contest to contest and knows how to find space on the spread. He has some similar traits to Jagga Smith with his slight frame and dancing feet which allow him to navigate congestion into pockets of space for clean disposal. His kicking was not as efficient as usual in this game, perhaps impacted by his targets getting out competed on the day by their Dragons opponents.

Didnt watch the game so... he was bad?

He’s never bad, he’s just limited. Has great hands and footy IQ but he isn’t a great kick or a long kick. Lots of dinky 15-20m kicks that float.

I’ll probably watch the game at some point this week unless noobermensch has him in his plans for a vid? Or Michaels decides to do vids again this year?

Any sense of the extent that those skills can be improved? I am a bit more positive on the footage than most here, love that he's hard at it and seems to have pretty good skills around the ball. 36 touches is not nothing and shows a lot of footy nous/ability to get it that many times. If he can improve decision making/kicking (admittedly pretty major skills) then I think he seems a really good prospect

decision making seems solid but he looks to do these weird short floaty chips to space a lot. he also seems to use his in-step to do these kicks unless im seeing things which is doubly bizzare.

It’ll be interesting to watch him develop, I only watched 15 min of the game weekend and his hands around stoppage and creative handball were excellent as they usually are when I’ve seen him. But I only saw him kick once which was a 15m dinky floaty kick across the centre square.

We saw with Kellaway last year you need something extra to be given a shot even in a shallow draft. Tanner is a better accumulator than Louie (though Louie still got good possession numbers and was 2nd for SA at champs), but he needs something more, like pace/agility to consistently get out of stoppages ala Jagga Smith or just more damage by foot and hand. Be nice if he grew too.

Nothing to say he can’t though, Jagga got more dangerous over his draft year.
