We aren't getting Steele FFS, let it go. We also aren't getting JUH.

Just invest in youth. All for letting Hopper go but who is going to take that contract on? No-one unless they need a solid VFL captain.

Cox is just laughable, won't be in the AFL after this year or at a stretch next.

Just play the kids, over and over and over again. Rotate them if they get tired. Play Hopper if they all get injured.

you idiot.

Prestia and Lynch wont be in the AFL next year either. And you munters golf clapped those signings.

Cox was about making us a real AFL team this year. How the fk can you still not see that when we will be playing Gray as our ruckman for the next month & Lynch wont be out full forward for that month either?

You can invest in youth & still worry about being decent now. I am not even sure our seniors would be the new Tasmanian team currently running around in the VFL.

I don't even think our senior team today would beat our 2019 VFL GF team.

Of course we're going to get pick 1 and the two best prospects wont be landing with us.
Don’t worry the AFL will fix this, they’ll give us pick 19 as compensation 🤪 just remove FS and academy, if the players want to play at their fathers club go there when you’re out of contract.

In all seriousness, who are the leading contenders for the mid season draft? Can we snag a role player here?

With the National draft, there appears to be 2 very different players at this early stage HVH and Arki Butler. It is interesting to assess the recent change in rules, I feel like the reduced congestion is making me favour a player like Arki.

Medium marking forward always screams bust to me lol

I watched a bit of Geelong v GWV. Daffy looks a likely type. Very energetic player, was hard to see with the coverage where he was playing but looked HF and rolling through the mids.

Armstrong also had 30 disp and a goal in the draw against Bendigo. Anyone have eyes on his game?

Was Noah Williams as good as his stats suggest? 32d & 11 tackles.

He's got a lot of Errol Gulden in him.

I’m not sure if I Noah guy that was there to watch him live.

  • Dawson was an elite trade. Don't think the Crows or Swans even thought he had that in him.
  • Neale cost two 1st rounders
  • Dunkley two 1st and a 2nd
-Botlon three 1sts
-Smith dogs got bent over
-Cal Ward expansion gift
-Oliver damaged goods and average.
-Petracca three 1sts
etc etc etc

Now if I cbf I'd go through the cost of the last 20 premiership ruckman and it'd be substantially less.

So the point still stands. It way harder/more expensive to acquire an elite mid than it is a good ruckman.
Aside from your misrepresentations of trades (Bolton cost two firsts - 10, 11 and 18 for Bolton and 14) you are talking in general, and I am talking about this draft, in particular.

Hard Hat Harry > Look Arkmi Butler

Freo still coughed up three 1sts as part of the deal - Currency rarely held by clubs and on the odd occasion it does happen its even rarer for them to be willing to trade them all out. Apart from GC.

Yeah well if he's a clear standout then sure. If its lineball then go the mid IMO.

Ethan Herbert dominated the tap work in this game and showed his strong follow up at ground level. His North Adelaide team were smashed in the opening quarter, down by nearly 50 points at the first break. They had to slowly grind their way back into the contest over the next three quarters with Herbert prominent in their resurgence but were unable to quite bridge the gap by the final siren.
