Flipping hell. Back to Alphabet Stadium Friday night round 6.

That makes it 49 of the last 50 years we go down the highway.

I’m livid. Put it at Marvel and it’ll get 50,000. AFL has no brains.
I’ve got no issue going down there. The issue is that this will now be 7 of the last 9 games we’ve played against the cats haven’t been at our home ground. There’s no sporting league around the world that would consider that fair.

I don’t think it’s worth complaining about who we play, besides the eagles and richmond I think you could make a case that everyone should be competitive.

Where we play is a different story. I’ll be keen to see if we don’t get Brisbane in Melbourne again (two years in a row), Geelong in Melbourne again, Suns in Melbourne (two years in a row), Sydney in Melbourne (two years in a row).

I don’t think it’s asking that much that if you travel to play a team one year, you get them at your home ground the next.

So we play Geelong, Fremantle twice. Don't tell me we get Brisbane too

I don't think its confirmed we play Freo and Geelong twice yet is it? We play them early but like the Eagles game last year, played in round 3 but then that was it for the year.

Collingwood will be irrelevant next year….will they go as part of a Pendles / Sidebum retirement tour…you can bet they won’t.

People say it’s Bevo that causes us to miss finals…it’s playing at the one VIC ground with true home ground advantage against us every ****ing year and going to Darwin etc that ****s us

Notice the Cats fixture is straight after we play Hawks at AO and they play WC….its usually after their bye or a WA trip for us so once again they have an easy lead in

It’s not irrelevant when you play Geelong in Adelaide and then have the return fixture in Geelong, or play Brisbane in Norwood with the return fixture in Brisbane, as has been the case for the past 2 years.
That’s 4 games against the current grand finalists, none of which on our home ground.
Gather Round is wank.
The team you play in Gather Round may be relevant for the reasons you've mentioned, my point was that once that's decided the designation of home/away for Gather Round is irrelevant because it has no impact on the potential venue for any possible double up.
