THISHow does this happen? We play Sydney in Sydney in round zero and now Adelaide in Adelaide for gather round? What is the club doing when other clubs get to dictate fixtures.
Its about TV ratings, C7 will be frothing at that thought. We pull a decent crowd with our support, strange not to let the Crows play another team with a capacity crowd and get our game as another with some high gate numbers.
how does anyone know what we are getting if we havent seen the full fixture yet?THISCollingwood get an extra game at home by standing up to the AFL, now we get jibbed with this crap.. The AFL know we turn up and make the league a fortune and will walk all over us provided we let them.
Can we question why Carlton are for the second time getting an extra away game compared to 16 other clubs in Gather Round? Surely it's just common sense to have everyone do it once before teams start getting it twice.

We will get our normal quota of interstate games, however they have strategically given us a tough start to the year with away games v Sydney & Adelaide in the first 4 weeks, assume our normal Thursday against Tigers will be thrown in there as well.how does anyone know what we are getting if we havent seen the full fixture yet?
We travelled three times to adelaide last year, the most we will do in 2026 is twice
We also travelled to sydney last year and obviously will again in 2026
But other than that what other information do we have? I expect we will at least play once in Perth and Brisbane, but why are we assuming we somehow will be playing a lot of games away from Vic?
I think you may have missed the point.Gather round for away sides IMO should be shared between the other clubs.how does anyone know what we are getting if we havent seen the full fixture yet?

Looking forward to flogging themCouldn’t the league wait a bit longer to **** us over in Gather round again?
Reckon you will definitely have a game in QLD. no guarantee on day thoughI just want a game in Qld, and not on a Sunday....
Because foamers need to foam..how does anyone know what we are getting if we havent seen the full fixture yet?

Totally agree, but this is no time to bring common sense and logic into my whinging.Honestly don't care nor put any weight into the fixture.
Every year we have either a hard or easy fixture and in the end it means nothing.
If we are good enough the results will show regardless of who we play and when and where.
Bring it on!
They love playing us and are licking their lips already.I would love to embarrass the Crows in front of the whole football world. Bring it on.
And they'll pick our best 22 players for the state of origin in Perth prior to the season.... and then penalise us for being over the cap for paying them to play in the AFL sanctioned exhibition game.Freo in Perth round 4 followed by GC in GC round 6
Man we are going to have an easy run into the wilkd card round![]()
Seriously though, agree totally. And who gives a flying **** where we play?
If we are to become a serious footy side, we need to play and beat anyone, anywhere, anytime..
We are a big club that people want to seeTrue...but there's a bigger picture. The draw is inequitable enough...so surely it makes sense to share around who plays an Adelaide side in gather round. In what world does it make sense that we'll do it twice before some clubs have done it once?
The AFL proving yet again they have no clue.
I think this is what "culturally defeating ourselves" looks likeThey love playing us and are licking their lips already.
Our boys are like rabbits in headlights against this mob and our coaches are their b1@#$3s.
This will be embarrassing…..again.
Sorry but you need to be honest with yourselves.

Rest assured we will have a lot of Saturday and Sunday games.I just want a game in Qld, and not on a Sunday....
