I wonder if the reason given will be a failed medical or something? Maybe they felt like they paid too much and had buyers remorse? Pretty annoying now as was looking forward to using that pick 14 this draft.
Surely they can't back out of it just based on that? I get the medical thing but change of mind seems a little bit odd.

You paint it as a 'medical' reason. I reckon they felt like they overpaid and could maybe have got Hendrickson. Lets wait and see on that front.

Do you play Baltimore this year? Could be a fun game.

Wonder who goes in for him now.

Raiders' cap space with Crosby back

According to Over The Cap, the Raiders are down to $37.9 million in cap space with this development. That figure does include most, if not all of the moves the Raiders have made thus far.

But it is important to note that these contracts are fluid and all of the details might not be in, so that number is subject to change.

And, again, the Raiders can still trade Crosby, so that $30 million added to Las Vegas' pay roll might not be there for long.

You cant force a trade with a medical failure. It happens a couple of times a year with trades/FAs

Jonathan Jones brings up a good point about Crosby struggling to practice last season.

Ravens medical staff cleared Jaire Alexander last year. not like they are being hard to pass.

I wonder if they rework the trade. rather then 2 first round picks its 1 and a 2 or they get a pick back for a pair of 1s.
also might open the door for someone like Dallas to jump back in on him.

Rumours:

Trey Hendrickson was going to join the Cowboys but now joining the Ravens.

Kyler Murray deciding between Vikings and Steelers but leaning Vikings.

This maxx Crosby situation is going to have major ripple effects.

The raiders will struggle to keep him considering the contracts they fished out the last few days. Plus Crosby's trade value has plummeted significantly from 2 first rounders to potentially a second rounder only because of the status of his knee and his contract.

Not all teams have the same threshold for medicals. Ravens getting burned last year by Alexander might of made them look closer at players with knee issues.

The Raiders are fine right now. but any deals they were working on and hadnt announced might fall apart.

This really is a tough spot for the raiders in terms of negotiating another trade. If he fails another medical at another team, they can kiss first rounders good bye.

So their Crosby trade leverage is hanging in the balance.

Or the better thing would be to keep Crosby and get him healthy and then extend his contract and stretch out and lower his annual cap hit. Revisit the trade market once the seasons starts .

They will need about $10 mill to account for mendoza in his first year, think they can make that work easily with few restructurings.
