That depends on how well they score. If Steele averages 100 up until his R16 bye then you have got more than what you paid for and he will probably be around the same price. At that stage he will be an easy Sideways trade to an underpriced SP that has already had their bye and it only costs 1 trade.

I just don’t get why you wouldn’t use DPP to get a defender or forward who’s an actual season long keeper due to lower barrier of entry at a similar price point.

I just don’t get why you wouldn’t use DPP to get a defender or forward who’s an actual season long keeper due to lower barrier of entry at a similar price point.

Steele could well be a keeper but worse case he can be sideways traded later on. The upside is he dosen't have a bye until Round 16 and he has averaged 108 or better in 4 of the last 6 years so he can do it. Also on other lines there really isn't much value in players around that price.

No team that starts JDG (even as flex) can win SC ever.
Sadly his body constantly let's him down from a SC point of view. Will be managed all year with a view of being match and mind fit by afl finals

Agreed. I can kinda see why you would start Treloar, but De Goey seems a waste of time. He'll have big games (hopefully R0 to suck lots in) but will have plenty of games parked forward or lower TOG to protect him.

Any rookies a chance for Collingwood this year? Harrsion and/or West a chance?

I have had him in most of my teams so far. He was definitely out of favour with Ross and was played out of position a few times as well as being the sub in one game. I don't think he is cooked and neither do the Demons he was signed until the end of 2028. He is priced at 94 and he will be better than that by how much who knows but there won't be much competition for points in that midfield so he could go 105+ and end up as a decent M8.

Saved me typing, just averaged his most tackles ever in a season so his body/shoulder looked fine to me . Also had 3 low cba games which I don’t think he sees @ Melb, with the blokes character + Max feeding him, a 105 M8 keeper is how I see him without a bye

Viney is injured too I think. If he is missing at the start of the season it makes Steele much more interesting.

So instead I am trying to ignore the noise and here is my latest team called;

“Now for something, Completely Different” Part 1.

Actually scrap that as above is SELFCONFESDAFLNERD with almost the same side, very similar. With better rucks and almost all the same rookies and more cash ITB.
I would usually say great minds think alike buy for a Norf supporter to not have Sheezel and have NAS instead feels like something is wrong with the world we live in these days.




I have just over 330K sitting in the bank, which I think is excellent hold money to use 2 boosts after the byes and go bang bang, and quickly turn 6 guys into 3 Premiums hopefully all mids. Also hope there are replacement rookies. Also hope some premo’s drop 50k or more. Also hope my Rucks aren’t poo poo .

I think there may be a few changes in rookies of course.

Also could just dump the extra cash straight away on another mid or ruck or forward.

I think betting on ruck changes ruck points, is as risky as picking a $16 starter in the Melbourne Cup, but that has always been my winning sweet spot. Maybe I should have a look at Sweet, it seems fortuitous.

my wifes a collingwood nuffie of the highest order and says they all looking forward to reef mcinnes back and rate him pretty highly as the 3rd defender

West might get games
Demattia can play but hard to break into 22 with no injuries

That would be a bit out of the norm there, wouldn't it?......

I mean 10C here is pretty darn cold when for 45-48 weeks of the year we av 23C min to abt 36C max. The heat I'm used to but not this cold....really happy its only for a week or 2....

And as for the heat.....lol! I don't even have A/C in the house.....fan only...

Yeah it's above the norm. Low 30's pretty common here in Jan-Feb, but anything over 35 is rare.

I hate it being that hot, dunno how you guys put up with the heat over the ditch (or in Thailand).

10C degrees is too cold though, not sure the fan will help much
