I can sort of understand where riewoldt is coming from. Till now neale's ex partner and his children have resided in WA, so it is perfectly reasonable to assume that neale would prioritize a move West.

That being said nobody knows what neale and his family future plans are, they could very well decide to relocate to Melbourne.

So it really is a fluid situation, and one that hopefully works out in our favour.

I doubt either WA team is particularly interested.

And his parents who are reportedly the conduit between Lachy and his kids live on the Vic/SA border - with Brisbane being a pain in the arse for them.

He's moving South. Crows and us likely to be the big bidders. Hawks and Cats might have a crack.

His parents living in SA & helping out with him seeing his kids if he were to move to Victoria is an option. I've heard that mentioned in the media.

It's closer & less flight hours for him & the kids than him remaining in Qld.
Should be mentioned they basically live on the SA/Vic border for those who will inevitably question why he wouldn’t go to Adelaide then.

Speaking objectively , geelong would technically be the best place for neale given it's proximity to the sa/vic border.

But its geelong, so they can go and and get stuffed.

He kicked 2.0 but only had 7 touches @ 43%
Put Charlie West in that forward line behind Ben King and he probably has the same output.

I didn’t expect to hear Fly say that time is running out for some on our list.

HDM, Jiath, Ryan are the ones that come to mind.

They’re list cloggers at this point to be brutally honest. Delist them at end of year and free up the 13, 19 and 24 jumpers for better players.

Adelaide is the closest to drive. But with Perth in the mix they're flying - probably from Mt Gambier - direct flights to either Adelaide or Melb. I doubt it for Geelong or Brissy.

All 3 played some of their best footy yesterday, hopefully they've turned the corner

If that’s their best, they’ve got a long way to go. Jiath was shocking. Ryan is unremarkable. And HDM is HDM. Saved himself late.

The benchmark for those players is if you were rival, would you want them, even as depth? If the answer is no, they’ve got a mountain to climb.

I don’t think they survive the cut.
It’s the last of the Hine recruits who really haven’t kicked on and look ordinary.

Good on fly putting the acid on some of our young players not performing I still can’t believe we didn’t go for Logan Morris
I hate these retrospective comments, they're so brain dead. You aren't some kind of list genius. By this logic we should have picked up every other player in the league that performed better than our own similarly numbered pick. You don't know if they're going to make it until they make it. It's a gamble.

I agree it's nice to see Fly publicly light the fire under some of our plodders. That doesn't mean it wasn't already being done internally though. It isn't like the head coach saves important development criticisms solely for the weekly presser. There'd be plenty of internal discussion around where those players are at.

Cats should be lauded. Worst picks of anyone in the comp over the last 15 years, yet have still outrecuited the vast majority of teams.
Win rate at home of over 85%, giving them a walk up start to finals every year - often flattering them, to the extent that they had a 75% loss rate in finals from 2012 - 2019..

And same number of flags since we were both flag winners in 2010/11.
So how do you measure this “superiority” if not flags.

Not sure how you figure out they had worst picks?
