I was in class today day dreaming (I'm sure it was a good class though)
So I thought I'd start the trend:
Here is the only 21 players that I believe are any chance to not be on the list next year. I realise only a quarter of these will be gone, but who knows what might happen. The ones with "(?)" next to them are ones I doubt very much will be gone, the ones in Bold are the ones I think will be gone one way or another:

Schulz: Trade (?)
King: Trade/Delist
Polak: Retire
Johnson: Retire
Collins: Delist (?)
Casserley: Delist
Jackson: Trade/Delist (?)
Hyde: Delist
Tivendale: Delist

Howat: Delist
Cartledge: Delist
Sylvestor: Delist

Oakley-Nicholls: Trade/Delist (?)
Meyer: Trade/Delist
Collard: Delist
Polo: Delist
Graham: Delist (?)
Bowden: Retire/Trade (?)
Simmonds: Retire (?)
Raines: Trade (?)
Petiffer: Trade/Delist

That would leave us with 4 ND (or 3 ND + 1 RD selection) and 4 rookie picks. Possibly not enough for some fans, too much for others.
The way I see the draft happening, I think we will nab Vickery (unfortunately for mine), a ruckman who marks and kicks well, a bit Brendan Lade-ish.

Am I on the money with my delistings/tradings/retirements?
Any players I missed who could be a chance to be cut?

Cheers

Pettifer has been given another year already by all reports

I don`t reckon Polak will play again ... may be gone . Be interesting to see . People who have had brain injuries invariably cannot place themselves in a position where they may get another knock to the head.... i reckon its over for him

Polo delisted ??? - kooky talk

Howat ....gawwwwn

My gut is Casserly will be given another year .. crying shame what is happening to that boy

I reckon King will feel the squeeze

Casserly and Simmonds are contracted so take them off the list. Collins no way would we delist him.

Collard will be retained on the rookie list.

Everything else seems fine, although I would add Pattison to the trade list.

Schulz: Trade (?) No way
King: Trade/Delist Possibly
Polak: Retire Hopefully not
Johnson: Retire Doubt it
Collins: Delist (?) Hopefully not
Casserley: Delist Hopefully not
Jackson: Trade/Delist (?) No way
Hyde: Delist Probably
Tivendale: Delist
Probably
Howat: Delist Probably
Cartledge: Delist Maybe
Sylvestor: Delist
Maybe
Oakley-Nicholls: Trade/Delist (?) No way
Meyer: Trade/Delist Hopefully not
Collard: Delist Maybe
Polo: Delist No ****ing way
Graham: Delist (?) No way
Bowden: Retire/Trade (?) No way
Simmonds: Retire (?) Doubt it
Raines: Trade (?) Maybe
Petiffer: Trade/Delist Maybe

So, I think Hyde and Tivendale are gone plus Howat from the rookie list. The other rookies are possible delistments plus it'll have to be at least one or two from King, Raines, Pettifer, Polak (retire) and Johnson (retire).

Did Dr. Madtugger MD. OBst. GYN say that did he ? ...LMAO .

... be very very surprised if Polly ever pulls the boots on again ...

This may sound a little callous but could thier be some form of compensation a-la Melbourne and Broadbridge ??? ... course not ... stupid thought

Yeah I read that too, but still think Morton's form may find him on the outter.

I agree re. Polak unfortunately!

Polo was the last on my list and he was the next most likely to go of everyone else...(I had to make it 21 to fill up all three lines :p)

Simmonds, Bowden & Polo???

Easy Tiger! 3 good players there. I personally hope they're all playing next year.

Dr Tucker's diagnosis: MURDER!!!

just joking....see below
Schulz: Trade (?) Isn't going anywhere
King: Trade/Delist King's type is dime a dozen. Trade if can, otherwise will be delisted.
Polak: Retire Will be retained. Doubt with the head injuries and as said before possible knocks to the head could kill him.
Johnson: Retire Should retire in a perfect world. In this perfect world there wouldnt be any religion either. Isn't gonna happen with either. Will be his last though.
Collins: Delist (?) Could be the goods. Club is probably scared at TigerTroy going postal if they delist him.
Casserley: Delist Most injury prone person that ever lived. Sure he can be good. However he won't get onto the field as his body won't ever let him. Sad story.
Jackson: Trade/Delist (?) One more year. Only because Madtiger will hit me if I dont say that.
Hyde: Delist Will return next year round 1................... In the back of a convertible.
Tivendale: Delist A good servant who the game took over a while back.
Howat: Delist Gone.
Cartledge: Delist
Sylvestor: Delist Poor imitation of Neville who we should've got last year. Rance in the long run > Sylvester.
Oakley-Nicholls: Trade/Delist (?) Where do I start? I dream of us leaving him at an airport somewhere. He has no skill. He is scared of people. Doesn't bode well JON lovers. He kicked a point that won us a game. So did Ray Hall in that game. I'd rather Hall than JON.
Meyer: Trade/Delist Keep. If he gets the body right he could be good. Body has to get right next year or the axe looms.
Collard: Delist Much prefer some of the kids at coburg to him.
Polo: Delist Marco isn't going anywhere.
Graham: Delist (?) In a word. No. What do we need; ruckman. What's he? Exactly.
Bowden: Retire/Trade (?) Keep. A cool head under pressure. Our only cool head under pressure.
Simmonds: Retire (?) Yes, let's retire the only 1st ruckman we have. And then our midfield will flourish.
Raines: Trade (?) I hope he sends us a postcard from the Gold Coast.
Petiffer: Trade/Delist *coughs* RORY HILTON! *coughs*......

and for some reason i could quote you .....**** you BF

My thoughts on your list:
Schulz: Trade only if we can snare a late first/early second round pick so stays.
King: Trade possibility, if not I would keep him on the list another year for cover
Polak: Retire most likely option, unfortunately.
Johnson: Retire, wont happen, may possibly hand over the captaincy though
Collins: Delist might happen due to us having to have at least 3 picks in the ND.
Casserley: Delist see Collins above. Might get a rookie spot due to injury concerns to see if he can get his body right. Thus frees up a spot on the senior list.
Jackson: Trade another who will get shopped around, if not stays on board.
Hyde: Delist 90% gone. Maybe shopped around as well.
Tivendale: Delist thanks for your time.
Howat: Delist too many ahead of him on the list.
Cartledge: If we don't land Warnock will be a chance at getting promoted to the list.
Sylvestor: might get a second year on the rookie list.
Oakley-Nicholls: Trade, offer him as part of any Warnock deal along with our second round pick. Easily replaceable
Meyer: Trade, Hawks were keen last year, might get done this year.
Collard: keep on the rookie list another season, costs nothing really.
Polo: Reckon he might ask for a trade, would attract a bit of interest, may get us an extra pick in the second round.
Graham: See Cartledge.
Bowden: 1 year contract
Simmonds: with our lack of ruck depth I don't think he is going anywhere, plus has 300,000 reasons to stay.
Raines: already been said Wallace is keen to get him back at full fitness next year, not going anywhere.
Petiffer: already been told he is staying.

From that I get Polak, Hyde, Tivendale, Collins & Casserly as probable delistings, the last 2 are solely dependant on how the draft stacks up.

Graham & Cartledge are 2 other possibles but only if we snare Warnock in trade week, otherwise they stay.

As if we would keep Johnson ahead of Casserly or Collins. Collins has played very well in Coburg and not chance of being delisted.

Casserly is still contracted and highly rated and won't be delisted either. He is the next Moore.

You might not want to keep him but I get the feeling those at the club want him around at least 1 more season.

As far as Casserly and Collins are concerned, I clarified why I think they might go. It will be solely on how the draft stacks up and if they think they can get better players in the draft. If not they stay. Was not fully aware of Casserly contract status but that hasn't stopped us delisting contracted players before and it wouldn't cost much to pay him out anyway.

The club rate Casserly highly. Collins is just a matter of time before he gets a look. Surely Meyer is ahead of these two in the delist stakes.

If we only take 3 ND picks again I will be dead set pissed off.

As long as King gets the chop and nothing outrageous happens at trade table like giving up pick 8 for the lank in WA I am happy.

Well who should we delist to get those three picks if not Cass or Collins?

We should trade Schulz and King for 2 picks. That gives us 5 decent picks in the ND + a PSD. If we promote Cartledge we need 7 more off the list.

Retire: Johnson
Delist: Tivendale, Hyde, Pettifer, Jackson, Polak and one of Polo/Meyer/JON.

Just quietly, if we HAD traded Schulz for pick 28 last year, who would we have drafted with that pick? Putt, that's who. Then we would have passed with pick 51, meaning we gave up Schulz for nothing.
No we probably would have traded it for Morton and Pick 35 would have been packaged with Hartigan for Moran.

You reckon? Where's Hartigan now? Why would North have wanted him? And I thought the Morton deal was done and dusted well before the Schulz deal was scuttled.

It's the word from the inside that North were prepared to do the deal, but we couldn't because we had the pick set aside for Morton.

We could have done the Schulz deal earlier, but we were pushing for an upgrade on pick 18 to pick 16 and port wouldn't have a bar of it.
