Nice deflection of the passion of your supporter base to the Demons. Quality work.
Mmmmmm. Try again. If you were a Kangas supporter and didn't know that you were playing in Melbourne, well... you're not really a Kangas supporter. Do you really believe that there are that many people who decide at 10:00am on a Saturday that they'll head off to the footy with a couple of mates?
Yeah but their stadium deal would mean that they'd make money on figures like that regardless. And with the fact that they've got a capacity of about 28,000 I'm sure there were fans who thought they would have been locked out so didn't go. The Cats have a large Melbourne based following, and there's no point in driving down to Geelong just to drive back. I bet the next home game is better attended.
FFS. You played at the Home of Football on a fair weather day. Perfect conditions, easy to get to, plenty of public transport and no way you could miss out on a seat. And your team looked guaranteed for the win. What more could be in your favour?
Or maybe after the way you've found to lose games and MFC's lift in performance last week at Skilled your fans had the feeling you might cough this one up as well?

I seem to recall Adelaide supporters being chastised for only having 28,000 at the Nothing Cup Final....
Pathetic effort given that MCC members get in for free, and North have a membership of 31,000. Makes you wonder how many of those members are named Whiskers and Fido.
2010 RIP NMFC....When Jimbob Fails the AFL will not give them another chance to relocate.

Just on MMM today Brian Taylor was talking about the crowd and he said
"don't worry about North, we know they don't have massive support, but at the game yesterday it was almost all North, they turned up. Where were the Melbourne supporters? They are pissweak."
So yeah, it is just my active imagination.![]()
Not sure if your brain is fully functional, I knew where it was, all regular supporters knew and they showed up. If I picked up a fixture to look at which game was on this week because I wasn't a rabbid follower then I would have thought it was at the Gold Coast.
Seriously, that is pissweak. THIS is the thing that I have been vocal about, people criticising our crowds and not anyone else's. People just like to slag us for whatever reason. Fact is Geelong have significantly more members than us and couldn't fill out their stadium, the money aspect is irrelevant, that is only a factor because of lobsided stadium deals, something the AFL is trying to address.
Ahahaha! Love you avatar.15,000 demons supporters were there too.

North Melbourne serial Trolls love bagging James Brayshaw but I'm sure that they still enjoy watching him on Thursday nights on The Footy Show and listening to him calling the game on MMM.I seem to recall Adelaide supporters being chastised for only having 28,000 at the Nothing Cup Final....

They deserve a rocket too. But they haven't shoved down everyone's throat how financially viable they are because of their huge following.
You head's on the chopping block and you're getting shit crowds. Try addressing the issue of why you've got 30,000 members for '08 and you draw a crowd of 23,000 to a home game.
That makes it 1 more than your team. How is your membership progressing this year?? Where are your members - they may be afraid that it is inevitable that you will perform like last year again and disappoint.

Yep...I'd say every match at TD we get around 40,000 Minimum same as the MCG...regardless of who we are playing...
this is since around 2000-2001 too when we were still shit...
Surely you're dreaming. This is what it's all about. It's the reason that they wanted to ship you off up north. If you don't care about the money, that's fine. But for your admin, I'd suggest it's their biggest nightmare. It probably explains the apathy of the Kangas supporters quite well if this a general feeling.
You always attack North Melbourne exactly the same way as Braun_2_B_Wild that make's me suspect that you are the same personNorth Melbourne are absolute shit.
They will get booted down to the VFL soon enough. And the VFL is where they belong.

Can't argue with that.
You've been given the world in the last 10 years North fans. You've got a coaching staff and a list thats up there with the best of them. You've got people busting their asses behind the scenes trying to make things right. Get behind it or become a spectator. Yesterday was a ____ing disgrace!!

These north supporters would have to be the worse in the league.... not only does their coach , chairmen etc... beg for there supporters to rock up .... they absolutely beg the Sh** out of them to attend the game ..
IMO 23,000 is not good enough especially when you got over 25,000 members.
I received a red card for telling the NorthMelbourne supporters that they belong on the gold coast but this certainly pinpoints were there real home is !
This Game was moved from the Gold Coast specifically for their fans to attend the game. Absolute crap North Melbourne !!!!!!!!!!! how desperate does brayshaw and laidley look begging the supporters to simply make time for a 3 hour game ... Not to mention a home game ... were there members get in for free.... No Excuses North just plain Crap ( forgot to mention there was almost 15,000 dee's fans at the game )
