The South Australian Under-18 backman studied Physical Education at the University of South Australia last year, but will learn a new meaning for the word in his first season with Port Adelaide. Taken from West Adelaide with pick 37 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.

OK Fizzler and Traveling_Power as buddies of Riley Bonner if you meet him you have to work on his attitude. In the PAFC section of "Are your club's draftees sinking or swimming during their first pre-seasons?" there is a picture of him captioned (in part "... Can't thank Port Adelaide for the opportunity they have given me! .....". My question is why not?

What do I know of Riley Bonner? Basically not much. What I saw yesterday was pleasing enough. Young, a good size and not slow.
Has a long kick, well that's a plus, I'm more interested in decision making and DE% and on that we will see. I'm told he's a
really decent level headed young man who is athletic and keen to improve. After the Dixon trade offs wasn't Riley in effect our
1st pick?. What pleased me most was listening to Bone at draft time saying "Port have got a beauty here the kid can really play".
I rate Bone's opinions when he's not forced to tow the party(crows)line.
Congratz Riley and welcome to the club. I go to almost all Maggies home games and some away ones too.

He seems like a really nice guy. My son was involved in the Guard of Honour before the Essendon game and he had a kick to kick with Riley and had a bit of a chat. Credit to him for the manner he conducted himself along with Will Snelling and Aidyn Johnson. All 3 of them seem like great guys and they all seemed to be loving the club.

Riley is one of those footballers that you instantly like. Hard at it, can kick, enthusiastic and will fill out real nice. Lock him in for 100+ games.
