1) Our midfield remains terrible at centre clearances. We're a tough side in general play, but good sides absolutely maul us in the middle, and it kills us at the SCG. It is our number one problem

2) Jetta still needs a talking to.

3) Pyke is now able to play well in a bad side - the mark of a true footballer.

1) Our 50 gamer is a star in the making - courageous, hard working, great marking ability
2) Hannebery is a warrior
3) We've been carrying passengers for weeks, and most posters have ignored it because we've been winning

1. We are way off our best but still had chances against a good team , could of won (optomistic) plenty can play better
2. Our tackling is way down this year
3. Too many have played a bad month overall jetta, reid, mumford, mattner, armstrong (less opportunity)

Yep the best sides make the scg look so small because of work at the centre bounce, they get it diwn there so quickly

1. As a group of fans, we over-react to result too much. Yes players are out of form, but calls for heads are so misguided its not funny. Why not first look at who we have available depth wise. Can't bag out the depth players (Walsh and White) and yet call for heads when those same players would be their replacements.
2. We are about to find out just how important LRT was in last years Premeirship run and just why we went after Tippett.
3. We handled the first two step ups in pressure, the third was one step too high.

1. Didn't realise how much I underrated LRT until he went off tonight. The commitment and intensity that he brings to the contest was something that no other Swan could replicate in his absence

2. Cats were lucky with the umps but god damn they play some wonderful footy. We were outplayed in many passages tonight

3. Jetta needs a big fat rocket up his backside. Don't expect him to kick wonder goals every week but at the least put in some effort

1. The all round-team defensive pressure is well down on last year.

2. Pyke is currently the best KP player in the side -who isn't in defence (Ted and Grundy are playing reasonable well in defence considering how under-seige it has been down there this year)

3. Despite the controversy, it was absolutely the right move chasing Kurt Tippett even if he is going to be a fair bit over-paid on what he's shown at the crows. Really do need a good KP target, can't keep relying on the mids to kick all the goals again this year.

1. Pyke is our number 1 ruckmen and quickly becoming a top ruckmen in the league

2. Reid and jetta are terribly out of form and IMO have been carried long enough

3. Our pressure has been down dramatically this year and needs sorting out asap

Will keep this fairly brief as it's been a long day and I used up all my energy trying to keep warm.

1. I think the pace of the first quarter took a lot out of us, fitness levels aren't there yet. It was frenetic, both sides going all out attack. Fantastic to watch, but unfortunately when you have that mindset and the ball gets turned over you can get hurt pretty badly the other way. We need some old fashioned "Bloods footy" next week

2. Need to improve the forward 50 entries. We should have used Goodes more when he was down there (he is building nicely), he and Pyke were the ones who looked most likely to beat their opponents.

3. Cats supporters at the ground were poor winners tonight, who won the 2012 flag again?

1. Radio coverage of game was on Triple M.. (due to work was unable to attend/watch)
2. Looked afterwards to see M.Stevic was Umpiring.. (Was he fair tonight.? He Damn as hell wasn't 2012 GF)
3. Eddie & Kennett Will be Gunning for the Cats now..

1. Hanners is perhaps the bravest footballer in the AFL.
2. Hanners is our future captain.
3. Hanners will win a Brownlow Medal.

1. Armstrong looks like a pr0n star/pirate/musketeer with that pencil moustache
2. Hannas didn't just do a single, famous, brave thing in a Grand final...he is now possibly the bravest player in the team full stop.
3. If I don't do more to warm up my voice a bit before games I'll be a mute before long...

1. Losing sucks. I forgot how much it can ruin my day.

2. If Geelong are one of the few teams that have our measure, we're going okay.

3. Hannebery is elite.

1. Geelong are in awesome form.
2. We aren't fit enough yet.
3. LRT when injured, and Rhyce Shaw are badly missed.

1. We are really screwed if LRT goes down. Our depth cannot cover any more injury to our backline.

2. Armstrong's defensive capabilities and pressure may never be up to AFL standard, especially the high standards that the Swans set in this area. The Crow's has the same issue with him, good endeavour but just not big or strong enough and he's not a kid anymore. I see a brighter future for the likes of Rampe, Towers and Cunningham.

3. Horse will be hammering in his discontent with the tackle count so relentlessly all week that we will come out fired up against the Saints. Hopefully it will be the wake up call we needed.

Geelong are now the Benchmark on how to rebuild a team without bottoming out.

We seem to be between game plans, we were never going to beat Geelong in a shoot out, and our defensive pressure/positioning was terrible.

Lewis Jetta does not deserve to be picked next week, no place for an issue shirker at the Swans

We needed Nick Davis

1. Geelong's players are brilliantly skilful and trustworthy of their teammates. Not to say we aren't of our own, but they are just seem to know where each of them will be at every point and their run and spread is so easy as a result. They played some immaculate footy last night. If it wasn't at the expense of my team, it would have been a pleasure to watch.

2. Dan Hannebery's relentless, fearless nature is a sight to admire and also fear. He surely can't go much longer without sustaining a serious injury. Let's hope it doesn't occur of course. But what a player he is turning himself into. He's going to be a great example to his future young, learning teammates when it comes to working hard and never relenting.

3. Nick Malceski looks like he's back to form that is worthy of being picked in the AA squad. Fantastic game from him last night. One in which he never stopped running.

Didn't want to repeat what others have said about Pyke, LRT, Reid, Mattner etc. McVeigh's form deserves another mention though and Shaw's importance in marking small forwards shouldn't be underestimated either.

1. I have a serious man-crush on Hanners.
2. Pyke just continues to improve, and looks like he absolutely loves playing this game.
3. When we get complacent and expect things to just happen, we get cut to pieces by good sides.
