but he wasn't an emergency.
Even better.

"Swans bring own Lamb to New Zealand but too afraid to unveil it in front of 20,000 passionate fans"

1. Armstrong is getting better and worth persisting with.

2. Everitt doesn't seem to be.

3. We're not doing anything different to deal with the pantsing we're receiving at stoppages.

1. It's still funny when Kosi knocks himself out
2. St Kilda are not that bad, although the slippery cnditions evened things up a bit
3. As a group we are too quick to jump on young players still learning the game

1 St Kilda played out of their skins, the Swans are in second gear
2 It is a long season, the club knows that but some Swannie fans do not.
3 The only reason I await Tippett is for him to take no 1 defender and leave Sam Reid to mature, he is a confidence player. Bagging him all the time does not empower anybody.

1. Everitt got less ball than Armstrong but used it well. Armstrong freezes like a rabbit in the headlights. If Shaw is back ....

2. Jetta showed something for a short run. Rampe improved and Bird is in our best 22 without doubt

3. Marty Mattner's importance to our defence is grossly underrated

I thought Armstrong was mostly much more composed this week, apart from a couple of instances. His attack on the ball and his man was much better, too

1. Armstrong was definitely better defensively this week. I'd still drop him in a heartbeat for Shaw though, and well before Rampe too.

2. Rampe looks like he could fill AJ'a spot for a while but needs to work on his kicking. Terrible action.

3. Despite what others have said I thought Goodes, Mattner and Jetta all showed signs of improvement this week. Mumfords form, while not poor, is a concern. Obviously carrying a long term niggle of some sort.

At this time of the year I am a fan of resting anyone who would benefit from it, or they end up carrying something all year. If Mumford is in that category I wouldn't mind seeing White replace him for a few weeks. You all know my views on White but he should be able to supplement Pyke with 10-15 hitouts a game and present a target up forward.

I tend to agree. You'd think though that if there to be any benefit from resting him he wouldn't have played the first 2 rounds.
