2008 season
Played 16 games for the VFL side as a forward and won the Joseph Wren Trophy for best VFL player. Macaffer averaged 14 dispsoals, seven marks and two goals a game. He was elevated from the Rookie list for Sean Rusling injury and could see some senior action in 2009.
Career
Medium forward who developed well in 2007 playing for Collingwood's VFL affiliate Williamstown, after being drafted onto the rookie list at the end of 2006. Led the TAC Cup U18 competition goal kicking in 2006 as well as being named at full forward in the TAC Cup Team of the Year. Strong mark and impressive on the lead, but has also played midfield and half back during 2007 and looms as a versatile goal kicking option for the future. He was outstanding in the VFL side in 2008 winning the Joseph Wren Trophy for best VFL player.

2009 shall be the year the Brent will move up the ranks at magpie land and should be aiming for at least 1-5 games this season.
he is working on his aerobic fitness at he moment so he will be able to go further up the ground and play more a of lance Franklin type of role.

Brent has been a just below solid performer in the NAB cups games but yes he is only young and will only be a 3rd fwd for the senior team this year and it isnt looking promising fro him to be played on if anthony reid cloke or dawes are hamperd by injury IMHO
