Thanks for the 3 firsts and Hayward - Eastern suburbs sydney is where all the tossers live- and you'll fit right in.

PS stay away from North Shore especially Queenscliff or the Bower - accidental board flicks are a thing for non locals.
Cheers JaB.

Just glad it’s done now and we can all move on and look forward to our eventual rise with players that love the emblem and want to be here 💙

I respect the exceptional talent but don't accept the lack of professionalism in his approach. He's mentally weak and lacks intelligence. I'd rather have someone with less talent but a total pro any day of the week.

Should never have been appointed to the leadership group and his brain fades should have been coached out of him by now. I'm tired of the indulgence of clowns like him, Gov and others. The sooner we remove these conditional players the better.

Sydney got a marketable player they need. We got options and a means to reshape the team. I know which I'd rather.

I don't see Charlie doing any better up in Sydney to be honest.

He's 1 year older. He will still be their number 1 forward - will still be double and triple teamed. And I see no reason why he will suddenly give 2nd or 3rd efforts.
I reckon there will at least be a period of him back to his best or maybe even more so, but the question will be how many bad habits creep back in or how his knees/ankles hold up.

At the Blues either the coaches were fine with him not chasing, or Charlie just didn't listen to the coaches.

Either way, don't see him suddenly chasing opposition defenders once the ball spills.

Agree - he will definitely fire, maybe even for a whole season. Sustainabiltiy is the question.

Ultimately, he is a gun and will make them better

He's a massive loss. No getting around that. He was our matchwinner, the kids loved him, and he was a freak of a player. We are far less dangerous without him.

But his lack of professionalism meant that it was unlikely we'd ever win a flag with him.

Get stuffed Charlie. Hope you have a miserable time in Sydney.

Professionally handled by the club.

Not sure a club with great culture would have found themselves in our position but with the new club leadership now in place moving Charlie on and extracting the best deal we could was the right move especially given his attitude.

We have added some very good players with great qualities on and off the park (seems to me) and if we were going to change from last year, changes needed to be made to the playing group.

As an optimist I believe our team will perform better next season with an improved depth, mindset and commitment to succeed.

Thanks for your time and effort Charlie but as a club we have moved on from you now.

Loved Charlie when he was ‘on’ and when he was younger I never thought he would turn into the gun he became. I was initially dirty on him for wanting out, but he has his reasons and I don’t believe he was part of some bad culture or standards, we’ve had cultural probs way before Charlie was drafted. We’ve done very well with the trade, I wish him well, but not against us..you’re the opposition now
