Just putting it out there, this kid is gonna be a gun IMO

The instinct hes showed so far is awesome, and that was shown in his sprint off half back to get himself open for his first goal on Saturday. Really great to see.

Agree, but the bit I liked was when there a free ground ball, and he went to get the pill under heavy pressure. He liked the contest, which is what you want to see.

Also in the second quarter then essendon were on a break and kicked it quickly into their 50 and he made up about 25 metres to spoil it out of bounds

Yep. made a comment at the time to a mate that his closing speed was incredible.
I love the fact we are bringing in guys that can play AND have pace to burn. It's the way to go and has been for a while.
 
Question, do people see markov as a hbf? I'd love to see him as a third forward to be honest. Would be interesting to see him apply his physical traits there and up the defensive pressure in our fwd 50. He looks like a type that could catch many a defender off guard and generally make oppo defenders more accountable.

I can see Oleg playing in the ruck, at FB and at FF at the same time. **** it, he is that good, he might take over from Dimma and sit in the coach's box as well

Don't you understand that the whole team has to played off half back or back pocket to learn to defend?;)

I would see him as a flanker/wingman. With his speed and skill he would be great as a gut running athletic wing man. Same traits apply to the HBF/HFF.

Happy to sit Houli/Yarran on HBF for the next 3-4 years with Menadue/Oleg on wing and rotating onto HFF.

He went into the draft as a tall forward prospect but I think he can offer so much more. Great signs. Can be a real weapon across half back which may release the Yarran/Lids types to cause havoc forward.

It would be awsome to play Oleg off the HBF which will allow Yarran to play forward

He actually played wing hf the season beforehe had a lot of injury the year before as well.
Imo only his size prevented him from being drafted last year i was adamant we take him late nd or rookie him.

No probs this is our problem a young kid comes up we get excited because there is not
Much there we just hope our coaches don't stuff it up and we unearth a few
