What I like about Markov is his athleticism. Has the size and footy smarts it seems to spoil and then be first to recover, balance and attack by a long direct kick or accelerate and go forward. Like his ability to find space also. He's raw but looks the goods. Can't wait til he fills out a bit. Like others here have illiterates, if he and Short can hold down those defensive flanks it releases Vlaustin, Houli and perhaps Yarran into the midfield to be more damaging.

I'm glad the pr0n star mo has gone and yeh I like that he plays with his socks pulled up. Kinda old fashioned but we might have unearthed a good late pick for a change.

How is he on the opposite side ? I haven't seen enough of him to see but he seemed very right sided last night. His right foot is damaging but I always rate players who have good skills on both sides.

Will be interesting to see how he and Short back up against the Cats next game.

His old man is an excellent old school/disciplinarian aths coach so it might be interesting to see if he has a role at RFC next year ?

good post, be good in the strength and conditioning side, not just fisticuffs like Ty's pere, cos Ty is prolly off elsewhere, not that that matters with the boxing gaffer

Has he been nominated for the Rising star this week yet???

Whats the bet he doesnt get it?

We are Richmond, we get no recognition.

All of our young guys are shit according to the media

They aren't saying that at all.
The problem is 2015 draftees and second year players have been playing longer, so at his point of the season it comes down to rewarding guys who missed out early when the top draft picks got the nod.
I reckon Markov will have to wait three more weeks and earn it with seven games under his belt.
But regardless, who cares.

He would, I know a few blokes who have been nominated in the past and all are super proud to be recognised!
Who knows, it may also be a kicker in his contract as well.

I see him more as a backman atm
Has shown more than enough down back. Thing is he is a genuine utility you can just see him coming of hb or tearing up a wing. He can take a grab and his pace/pressure is a real asset in the fwd half. Good footy brain great motor agile and quick and for a skinny runt puts his head over the pill.
There is nothing to not like about him apart from his size and if people saw him three seasons ago they would realise it wont be a problem.
In fact size wise i think he is projecting better than Menadue.

I could never understand why the club went and targeted Yarran. We had Deledio we had Menadue who like Markov has similar attributes we had McIntosh.
Run out of defense was covered and now we have Markov as well.Even Drummond could be developed in the role. All it required was a bit of vision and an understanding of what we actually had.

Or maybe they don't want all of those guys down back long term??? Instead of potting the club from the outside, maybe you need to consider they probably know a lot more than you do

Really!!!! well i wish they would show it by their actions and what they say.If they say one thing then do another they deserve potting because it really does show they are either lying or making it up as they go.

Anyway it is not hard to fathom. They said they went and got Yarran to solve the run of half back problems we supposedly had. Apparently there was no one else on the list capable of or could be developed to perform the role and you swallowed it hook line and sinker well done bud.

yet we had Deledio and a kid in Menadue who fit the bill to a tee. They also showed how easy it is to find blokes who can run of hb by taking Markov with a pick in the 50"s and we had McIntosh who lo and behold has ended up in defense.

Yeah they really showed what they are about ignoring Big inside mids and kpps in the nd in fact were prepared to give up two really good second round picks to find a poxy inconsistent soft hbf while ignoring these critical areas.

Give me the job i could do it better with my eyes closed and zero contact with any of them thats how piss poor they have been.If they know more why are we languishing near the bottom of the ladder after 7 YRS OF REBUILD LOL. But hey lets not question their credentialls lets just pretend they have been fantastic..

yarran forward next year

Lol why. It would be the biggest turnaround of all time by a club after all the justification of how bad we needed Yarrans run off hb ignoring much greater needs in the process.
Do you really want the soft weak prick in the team to play alongside all the other soft weak pricks we have who only play on their own terms.
