Personally, I think McIntosh is one of our weakest links.

So did I. Then watching our games again over the summer I revised my opinion. He played every game and with his size, tank, improved disposal and decision making, think you'll find his magnet gets put on the board very early each Thu arvo.

He’s a funny one old k Mac
He’s not very skilful but he is impotent to our structure because he has a big body but can can run entire games out

I think if anyone was to push him out of the side atm it would be balta
So father son is out of the question then for Kmac!!

He'll play every game bar injury (touch wood).
On of the first picked every week.

Clever mate. It's glaringly obvious they are giving him every opportunity to claim a spot by playing him in the guts and other prominent roles. I suspect the fact he has produced so little as a number one pick does not sit well with the hierarchy and they will try and prove themselves right.
I agree he’s getting good opportunity but I doubt very much it’s to vindicate themselves. To me he has a massive lack of self belief and confidence and I reckon it’s probably more designed on hoping to build that.

I actually agree with that.I will say it seems they are giving him every opportunity to claim a spot.It will be interesting to see if others are afforded the same opportunities.
Thought he was okay yesterday but you do have to be a bit careful when its nothing more than a Jlt game and there was no pressure in the game.It was more akin to a intraclub game than anything.

What contradictions. seems to me hes talking more about the roles. Bolton for a small fwd in Rioli, Short for a defender in Broad.he did say they all had good games. Me thinks people are a bit paranoid at times.

Personally i dont think you can take too much out of that game and still prefer other options to both Ellis and Short.I think Bolton is an ideal replacement for Rioli. He is the next best small fwd at the club and it is replacing like for like.In fact i think Bolton should be in the 22 in front of one of the small fwds.

I prefer Markov to Short even though that is not based on performance but id sure like to see them give him an opportunity in the preseason to show he deserves a shot at it.
Failing that id like to see Garthwaite thrown in to cover for Broad, a tall defender for a tall defender. The other option is to throw McIntosh back into Broads role and bring in a mid preferably a running mid with pace and running capacity enter menadue.
If we are looking to bring in an inside mid id be looking at others before Corey.
i think i get the cellis vibe now... i say he's a lock for round 1, i reckon hardwick does too most say he's thereabouts and well and truly putting his hand up and then there's a few that seem to think he's off the pace, injury prone, too s l o w and/or not worth the trouble.... those few critics all seemed to have ha it in for Prestia too at various stages....haha....just sayin :D:D:D

I didn't say it was you?
But you go to pains to say I exaggerate stuff.
Do you pull others up who exaggerate that shit? Or just me and maybe one or two others?

Why has this turned on me all of a sudden? lol.

didn't get to see the game yesterday but looks like he did ok. That's good, but I'm certainly not going to get excited over any practice match form, particularly in a game with that scoreline. When he starts performing at a decent level in the ones consistently, I'll be more enthused. until then, he's got it all in front of him to make it

Be careful mate .... I suggested that was it and going back a far as last year's finals.
He as never going to play finals, him being an emergency was all about building confidence.
And it's continuing.

you and mopsy must be mates similar monnikers o_O

I haven't And should not be inferred as such.
Jut curious as to why you always pull me up, but not others who 'exaggerate'?

I only really take issue with exaggeration if I believe it isn’t fair on the player.
There’s a fine line between people who over-exaggerate and people who troll for a reaction. I don’t respond to trolls.
So, you may see some people “get away” with certain exaggerations mainly due to the fact I consider them trolls.

Ok we're clear! Peace has been restored!

I don’t mind trying to get him to believe because there is some talent there. But yeah it’s up to him to grow this year in that regard otherwise he will probably never believe and therefore never make it to the level they’d like.

Wish I recorded the game, I want to see that clearance he did in the final quarter where he made space out of nothing.
He needs to find that balance that Pendlebury and Bontempelli have. They appear to always have plenty of time, and they don’t really play with much intensity, but they get bucketloads of the pill and are extremely damaging with it.
Pendlebury has always been skinny, but he is also quite tall. Bontempelli has a bit of a Fyfe build.

We say it all the time but it comes down to confidence, not only within himself, but his team mates need to feel confident giving him the pill.
I watch him pretty closely and his positioning is excellent in general play, but he doesn’t demand the ball like Dusty does.
Obviously completely different players, but you’re always going to give Dusty or Cotch the ball before CEllis.
The more solid games he puts together I think we will see a consistent increase in his stats and his effectiveness because his team mates will want to get it to him, because more often then not, he will make something happen. He has always been like that and Hardwick has said it before as well.

Just really hoping he goes on with it now considering it appears his injury woes are behind him.
