Bizarre is something strange or unusual not something no one expects.
E.g As expected the eccentric next door neighbour arrived with another bizarre haircut.

Strictly speaking I said keeping him in the 2's was bizarre but I wasn't a wrap for dropping him either.so you reckon dropping him was strange and/or unusual?
I'd say it was the opposite and therefore your comment would be bizarre![]()

If this is the case and I agree its possible, something doesn't seem right with him then I don't think a trade is on the cards. He has at least a $400K contract in 2017 with us. Any club taking him on would baulk at paying that if he stays in the 2's for the season and we would be looking at little compensation and probably still paying a good part of his wage.I seriously hope he doesn't make his way back into the team due to a personnel shortage.
This should have been a rocket up his ass but his same lack of enthusiasm is evident in the two's..
Ive heard Bucks talk about him needing to find his love for the game again.. clearly there is an issue between the ears, whether it be a personal issue or an issue with the club.
He needs a fresh start.. if a decent offer presents itself i would trade him with his blessing. Every chance he'll leave for nothing at the end of next season.

Say we got pick 30-40 for him, paid half his salary and he went out and kicked 60 goals for his new club. Would be a really bad look for Bucks if he was still coaching. Buckley needs not to lose anymore of the 10-11 players prematurely.
Marsh. If Reid and Brown fail to come up stick Trav down back to help Frost. We have no other options as KPD if we want to maintain our current forward structure.
Marsh definitely needs more afl game time. Don't want to loose him.Marsh.
There are far more appealing options than seeing Cloke run around as a defender looking even more disinterested than he has been at senior level this year.
agree we cant trade him for a 3rd round pick if he's only costing 400k. its a low pick or he stays.
in my uniformed opinion he has something going on upstairs. maybe its the mrs from the 'selfie-gate' maybe its expectations when you're on 800k. maybe as Tim Watson said he is struggling with a more complicated game plan as opposed to Malthouse's kick down the line plan.
Marsh.

I think Bucks is right about Trav needing to find his love of and hunger for the game again. I don't think he can do that right now in the VFL though. I think the best thing to do would be to give Trav a couple of weeks off or even a month. Tell him to go away from the club and stay out of contact.. go overseas or whatever.. make up a dodgy back injury excuse to cover it. See if a bit of absence can make the heart grow fonder and freshen him up.

I'm just looking at options that don't "rob Peter to pay Paul" ie. that do not spoil what is currently a working forward line structure.I rather see Moore go back than Cloke. Marsh might need another run in the 2s for fitness. Long term he is an important part of the defence.
it's not always just about kicks and handballs though. it's also about leading into the right spots and opening up field position for your teammates. On form it wasn't the right, he was outperforming Moore before he was dropped.
is Crash and bash what we want though ? I look at Riewolt who since his 30's has changed the way he plays. Cloke was always known for his aerobic capacity but the last 2 years he has been more concerned about wrestling. personally I'd send him back to loose 5-6 KG's and play him on the Wing, get back to his assets. thus also leaving our forward structure in tact because currently both Moore and Cox deserve their place.I was just watching the round 2 2013 game against Carlton (Malthouses first game against us) and I paid particular interest on Cloke. He was held goalless and beaten on the day by Jamieson but his workrate, presence, contest and bash and crash was outstanding and something that has been completely devoid from his game from about midway last season.
This is what he needs to get back into his game but I fear that something is NQR in Trav's mind at present and I think it runs deeper than being a bit off his game. He looks like a bloke who isn't enjoying his football and isn't enjoying his teammates or club. It's quite sad for a guy who was elite not that long ago but the call on dropping him was completely correct.
I don't understand why the obsession with how many goals Cloke kicks in reference to if he can come back in or not. We have watched Cloke for many years struggle to kick goals, the same problem at AFL level won't change at VFL level, hes just a terrible kick for goal. His output from a pure numbers standpoint however the last couple of weeks seem to be very good, especially last week when the VFL side was murdered.
I haven't seen the game, but he's had 10 scoring shots the last two weeks hasn't he? Or was it the week before he kicked 1.5? To expect him to go back and turn his goal kicking into a positive than hes never going to get back in. His current form would involve him more in the game than we're currently getting from Darcy Moore.

I am sure he did alsopretty sure he dropped weight this year.
I think that I also read the same thing, but to me he still looks heavy. otherwise I guess as Buckley has said he needs to improve his workrate.pretty sure he dropped weight this year.
